Israel discriminates against Palestinian citizens of Israel and treats them as second class, neglecting thier concerns as a key part of its apartheid system that it uses over all Palestinians, most of whom are denied the right to vote.
Despite this, Israel's backers seek to use Palestinian citizens of Israel for propoganda points, adding insult to injury. No one should take this crap seriously.
Israelโs Arab citizens, men and women, are turning out in historic numbers to vote. They can vote, run for office, and serve in the Knesset, rights denied to many Arabs and women across much of the Middle East.
Our critical ally in the fight against terror, Israel, is the only democracy in the region, and today shows it.

I would at least get it if Mamdani called Chagall a โBelarusianโ or something. Then weโd have a normal โwhich ethnicity gets to claim this historic figureโ clash. But the grievance is with describing any Jewish person as โEastern Europeanโ after 1948.
To describe Marc Chagall as anything other than a Jewish artist or to celebrate neighborhoods like Brighton Beach and Rego Park but not describe their Jewish character โare just the latest examples of the Mayor's relentless, pathological campaign to erase Jews from the story.
He does it so often that one has to assume that this is not ignorance or accidental, but a deliberate effort to normalize antisemitism and marginalize Jewish New Yorkers.
Itโs despicable.
