MY FITNESS JOURNEY.
As a boy growing up, I started with football. But in 2012, I was forced to stop playing. As time went on, my cousin started weightlifting in 2017. He would tease me and even punch me just because he had started lifting weights. That was actually how I got into weightlifting.
I started lifting in December 2018, but because of my family background, I had to work and take care of myself. I wasn’t able to train consistently, but I made sure to train whenever I had the time.
I was struggling with life alongside training. Sometimes, after training, I didn’t even have food to eat. And we all know how difficult it is to build muscle when you’re not eating enough or getting proper nutrition.
Even after school, things didn’t immediately change. At one point, I was training only about 10 days a month. I could still build some muscle with that, but my nutrition wasn’t good enough because I was still living with my parents.
It wasn’t until 2025, when I moved out of my parents’ house, that things started changing. I began training at least 15 days a month, and that’s when I started noticing a significant change in my physique.
Looking back, I realize I didn’t have the perfect conditions. I just kept going with whatever I had. The journey wasn’t easy, but I never completely stopped.

Day 18 of doing some push ups routine before going to work.
I had to try this before going to work,
can any X ladies recreate too 😴?
Muscle groups your local gym can't train: lower chest, rear delts, calves, upper back. Be honest, you've been skipping them for years.

If you want a bigger chest, train these:
Incline dumbbell press 4x8
Flat barbell bench 4x6
Cable flyes 3x15
Weighted dips 3x8
Push-ups to failure
Upper chest is what fills the shirt from the front.
They train 6 times a week, sleep for 4 hours, eat junk food, then turn around and blame their genetics.

unpopular opinion: retirement shouldn't be an age. it should be a specific financial number you hit in your thirties so you can actually start living.

How often do you move?
How do you improve your body’s active range of motion?
Does your body have stretch tolerance and tolerance to difference joint positions?
I I might have to quit lifting. I signed up for muscle growth, not the extra energy and increased sex drive that come after every workout.

🧵 5 things I'd tell anyone starting the gym:
1. Nobody starts as an expert.
2. Learn the equipment.
3. Ask for help when needed.
4. Use weights you can control.
5. Focus on your own progress.
You belong in the gym as much as anyone else.
Good morning 🌅
