So as long as your part of your pivot remains in contact with the floor, you can: 1) plant left foot with toes forward pointing to basket, 2) spin 180 on your left toe, 3) put heel back down with left heel now facing the basket, 4) spin 180 on left HEEL now, 5) put full foot back down with left toes facing the basket and it’s legal. During this process, you were able to move a couple feet CLOSER to basket while “keep your pivot”. Toe, heel, toe and step through. These are the skills that Adam Silver wants to showcase.
