Michigan's early ballots are up across the board, with the fastest growth in strongly Republican areas. I compared mail + in person totals with the same point in 2022, grouping every city and township by its 2024 presidential vote. The statewide mix is slightly redder.

The DCSO is attempting to track down an absconded sex offender based on community tips of suspicious behavior. The absconded child molester is known to frequent areas utilized by young families and children. The Sheriff visited a library in that area to ask library staff if they had seen him. He was informed that their interpretation of a state law and library policy prevented them from answering his question. Sheriff Hanson is calling on State and Local policymakers to examine the statue at play here and find a common-sense solution that does not protect the privacy of a convicted child molester at the expense of law abiding citizens.

It’s not that I’m confident or not confident.
Every state has its own terms and conditions that align with either party being able to win it. Talarico’s path to victory is exceedingly narrow. Even the most bullish left-wing modelers who make massive assumptions about how much the white vote and Hispanic vote will swing, and how high or low the turnout will be (with incomplete data at this point) only give Talarico a 4 point margin.
Trimming back their ambitions, I would think a real ceiling for him would be 1 percent or less. To get it, it would require dreadful R turnout, which isn’t true, and would require a reversion of the Hispanic vote back ten years, which won’t happen.
I’m not rooting for or cheering for anything when I post data. I clearly want the Rs to win in Texas, but I want them to win in NC Senate and I’ve been very clear that’s not going to happen.
I am just sick of panic, doom, whining, and people thinking I want to have left-wing models shoved into my comments. Texas Rs hold the keys, and if they vote, they can’t lose. It’s not mathematically possible. If they don’t show, then they can blame themselves.

❗️ Cargo thieves have stolen more than $100M in hardware bound for US data centers since June, NBC News reports.
They hijack freight-broker accounts, post fake loads and send carriers malware links to take over their accounts too.
In one of the biggest heists, an SUV struck the security escort of a trailer carrying ~$10M in server rack components from California to Texas.
The trailer sped off. An app was tracking it, but its coordinates had apparently been spoofed.
In another, a sedan hit the off-duty police escorts of a $13M server load bound for Georgia, and the trailer drove on.
None of the equipment from either load has been found.

It is days like today that will be a stark reminder to all liberals across the state of Nebraska that just because you live in a liberal city does not mean that your vote is going to change the state
