This is idiotic. Allow a misogynist to explain to you the basics of writing. For a redemption arc to be executed well you must ensure 2 things. 1. The sinner must show consistent remorse and regret for their actions and/or will perform future actions that try to repair the damage done. And for the case of forgiveness: 2. The characters who have been wronged have good reason based on their established character to forgive the sinner. Annie fails both of these requirements, beyond one scene in season 1 she is shown to sadistically enjoy killing the scouts and even says in season 4 she would do it all again in front of the main characters faces. None of the characters -especially Levi- have any good reason to forgive her. The pie eating scene is just a slap in the face to the lack of proper writing done for her character. Her lack of screen time also hurts her because it gives us less reference of her character, which gives us less reasons to like her. Unlike her we see the main characters show remorse and we see them try to do the right thing. We dont see Armin spinning one of the others like a yoyo with a smile on his face. Reiner was done better because he fulfills the first requirement, but he absolutely fails to fufill the second.
