Notice that he didn’t say for how much longer.
Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States. Still your President!

I suspect the ulterior motive is to keep DeSantis occupied so he can’t mount a presidential campaign.
Surely there is someone else.

Surely there is someone else.
“One source told CBS News that Ron DeSantis is being floated as a possible replacement for Hegseth, arguing DeSantis could go through Senate confirmation in the lame-duck period and then take the post when his term as governor expires Jan. 5.” cbsnews.com/news/trump-hegse…

Good one. He had me there, I’ll admit.
The vote was rigged. Just really clear examples of fraud, especially coming from the South. I mean Texas? Mississippi? Are you serious? That's the only explanation I can come up with for why a one loss Notre Dame team is #11.

Iranian officials are gloating about the midterms, but what Tehran doesn’t seem to understand is that Trump might actually take out his election losses on Iran. A bluenami isn’t going to deter Trump. politico.com/news/2026/11/04…

VERDICT: Never in doubt. Kammerer had the map behind him but never took victory for granted. Forget the blue wave: Bureau County is just too red for a Democrat to win a countywide race.
ELECTION DAY WHISPERS: Tom Kammerer will be the next Bureau County sheriff. Democrat Mike Wittig has a solid base in Princeton and Hall Township, but Kammerer isn’t taking this one for granted and should spur enough voters to put this one away.

VERDICT: Close it was. The only blunder was me misstating that Briel won in 2022. (Duh: It was 2024) I blame insufficient coffee. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. #meaculpa
ELECTION DAY WHISPERS: Bishop-Briel 2.0 is considered too close to call. GOP sources say state Rep. Murri Briel is vulnerable and won’t ride predecessor Lance Yednock’s popularity as she did in 2022. The Dems say Republican Liz Bishop hurt her own favorability by going negative.
82
VERDICT: A mixed bag here. Contrary to expectation, Ebner actually made quick work of Mitchell but her intra-party opposition not only was real but it blew into the open. A party chairman withdrawing support on Election Day? That’s a first in my 30 years.
ELECTION DAY WHISPERS: La Salle County Clerk Jennifer Ebner is considered the most vulnerable among local incumbents. Democratic newcomer Charlie Mitchell is making headway, but the bigger issue is Ebner’s lackluster support among GOP leaders.
82
VERDICT: Correct, only it wasn’t as close as everybody thought. Vescogni won decisively in Bureau and Grundy counties and never trailed in La Salle County, despite being outworked on the campaign trail. It was a mirror-image of the Helland-Cantlin contest from 4 years ago.
ELECTION DAY WHISPERS: La Salle County Judge Shelly Vescogni likely returns to the bench. Democrat Melissa Olivero has worked tirelessly on the campaign trail, but can Olivero pull enough La Salle Co. votes to offset Vescogni’s support in heavily red Grundy and Bureau? Doubtful.
65
VERDICT: Exactly correct. Absolutely none of my sources, Republican or Democrat, thought Marter had a path to victory.
ELECTION DAY WHISPERS: So, what are the picks? Lauren Underwood is projected to return to Congress while crushing perennial GOP candidate James Marter. Yes, the district was drawn to favor Dems; but Marter’s MAGA-leaning platform won’t win him independents.
81
VERDICT: My sources nailed it. Nobody ever denied that Trump would motivate Democrats, but the below-the-radar predictions that disapproval of Pritzker would spur Republicans were right on the money.
ELECTION DAY WHISPERS: I talked to prominent Democrats and Republicans about Election Day. The consensus is there won’t be any ‘blue wave’ in the Illinois Valley. MORE
99
ELECTION FOLLOWUP: I tabbed Dems and Republicans to predict our local races. How’d they do? The envelopes, please…

An excellent point. There’s no plausible argument for electoral fraud.
Yesterday was a great day for American democracy! As they taught us in Hungary, if you win big, there is little opportunity for shenanigans on Election Day.
80
Hear, hear
But enough about your devastating electoral losses, MAGA. I’m gonna need to see those Epstein files now.

I’m with you! But as much as I love the Eternal City, it’s much easier finding a clean restroom in the U.S. of A.
I should just move to Rome. I prefer the time zone. And the saints.

GEE, YOU THINK???
I have a slight hunch that Trump might not take any responsibility for tonight, and it is even possible he will blame other people for it.
