You hear the word βaccountabilityβ all the time in sports. When itβs demanded by a manager, it often leads to a big payoff. Remember a game between the Mets and Brewers at Citi Field in late August? Cooper Pratt, two months into his major league career was pulled from the game by Pat Murphy because, having failed to execute a sacrifice bunt earlier in the game, Pratt did not run hard out of the box on a pop up near the right field line that fell between three Mets fielders. Pratt should have been at second base, but his lack of hustle forced him to hold on at first. Murphy would not tolerate that mistake, especially from a rookie. Well, look at Pratt and the Brewers now. Thatβs how you establish a winning culture, whether running hard out of the batterβs box is someoneβs βcup of teaβ or not.

Fox: Why are you here this morning?
Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Arsenal just lost to Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup.
Arsenalβs roster: $1.5 BILLION
Fleetwood Townβs roster: $3 million
Fleetwood is currently 18th in the 4th level of English soccer.
Possibly the biggest upset in English soccer history.

40 years ago tonight, the @Mets won their second World Championship. You know how excruciating that post season was? They never played with a lead at home until Ray Knightβs home run in the 7th game of the World Series. Both wins at Shea against Houston in the NLCS were walk-offs, having not had an earlier lead, as was, of course, their win in World Series game 6 against the Red Sox. Remarkable. Happy Anniversary to the 1986 World Champions.
