Kalshi isn’t a statistics site. It’s a prediction/gambling market. Betting odds are not a statistical metric. The percentage of people betting on an outcome has no bearing on the statistical likelihood of that outcome occurring.
WILD: Manchester United now has a 20% chance of relegation, via Kalshi. Can United turn their season around?

FC Augsburg believes it's quite terrible to have 17 other Bundesliga clubs sitting on a bunch of the league's limited supply of points.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

Bostonians are not ashamed to eat sushi at a baseball game, we just know there are better options a block away and that sushi at Fenway would cost $60 for a tuna roll.
Even if you don’t care for baseball one bit, this flow chart is super funny!

Can we stop already with these pointless exercises in performative debates? If debaters are unwilling to change their minds or be persuaded that their position is incorrect, then debate is pointless and we shouldn’t platform them or give them attention

"Q. How democratic is the Israeli vote – and who is being disenfranchised? A: About 15 million people live in areas under Israeli control. Just over 7 million Jewish Israelis and 1.7 million Palestinian citizens of Israel live within the country’s pre-1967 borders, known as the “green line”, and have full voting rights. In the occupied West Bank, more than 500,000 Israeli settlers can vote. They live among 3.1 million Palestinians who are subject to military rule and do not have the right to vote. In occupied East Jerusalem more than 230,000 Israelis with voting rights live among 350,000 Palestinians who cannot vote. Two million Palestinians in Gaza, who live under Israeli military occupation, according to the international court of justice, also have no vote." theguardian.com/world/2026/o…

When first reported, 2025’s jobs reports added up to 1.2 million new jobs. After revisions, the economy added just 116,000 — 90% less.

Massachusetts can’t handle re-numbering our exits on the highway, you think we can handle a full time zone change?
Should Massachusetts switch to the Atlantic Time Zone year-round? The case for it: later winter sunsets, no more changing the clocks, more daylight after work and school, and potentially more time for shopping and outdoor activities. Would you support it?

Goodbye sweet king of the customers. Such an incredible actor and able to handle comedy and drama with skill and deftness and emotion. Go now, your people skills were too good for us. ❤️
Richard Riehle, the character actor best known for playing Tom Smykowski in “Office Space,” died of natural causes on Oct. 15. He was 78. Riehle appeared in more than 400 film and TV projects, including “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “The Fugitive,” “Grounded for Life,” “Of Mice and Men,” “Wedding Crashers” and “Bridesmaids.” He also portrayed Santa Claus in eight different projects throughout his career. wp.me/pc8uak-1lHYxH

Can the federal government dragoon state officials into enforcing federal immigration law? 13 different federal judges have said no, bit Iowa’s Solicitor General says yes, anti-commandeering is not a thing when it comes to these dirty dirty immigrants.
Can New York City explicitly flout federal immigration law? Yes, explains Judge Reyes. The US lacks standing to challenge so-called sanctuary policies. I am skeptical! A status quo where states like Iowa or Texas *cannot help* immigration enforcement but New York can obstruct?

Denise Richards reveals she decided to openly discuss her facelift after her ex brought it up in court "My ex that I'm divorcing, he said something in court about it, on purpose, and I was so pleasantly so surprised because there was media in there that they didn't print it, which was nice." "I figured, you know what, I think I just need to be honest and I want it, I didn't want to give him that power and have to say it then." "And so four months later, my publicist did a, got me a really nice piece in allure, a piece on my facelift that I had done a year ago." "I'm so glad that I've been open about it. I didn't know how people would react, but I think I want to know what everyone's doing, what's peptides, what this, what that."

Guarantee every one of these parents protesting his language voted for the current guy who’s used even worse language. The hypocrisy of the Christian right knows no bounds.
One of the more interesting reactions to Kirby Smart’s leaked pregame and postgame speeches has been people on social media questioning his Christian faith or why parents allow their sons to play for him because of his language. The reality is that this kind of language is common in football, from the high school level to college and the NFL. I know several UGA parents who follow me on here and have spoken highly of Smart and their sons’ experiences playing for him. While some may take issue with his language, others view it as part of the intensity that comes with coaching football.
