#News_Alert: Authority suspends registration of #Ethiopia’s oldest independent newspaper indefinitely
Founded in 1995 by general manager Amare Aregawi, The Reporter is Ethiopia’s oldest privately owned independent newspaper. The publication operates under the motto “Free Press, Free Speech, Free Spirit” and has covered national politics, regional conflicts, economic developments and social issues for more than three decades.
In a statement issued on Monday, the #EMA said its monitoring of content published and broadcast by the media house over the past year had identified what it described as “repeated violations of law and professional ethics.”

News: #Somaliland officials condemn attacks on #Oromo residents in #Borama after more than 150 homes reportedly damaged
The attacks involved groups of youths who vandalized, looted and set fire to homes occupied by Oromo residents, including families who had lived in the city for years. Some affected residents reportedly sought refuge at Borama airport and other locations they considered safe.
Awdal regional governor Boqor Hassan Dahir Haddi condemned the violence, saying it contradicted the community’s values of peaceful coexistence and hospitality.

Look at what that question carries. It assumes “Abiy was only ever aiming at TPLF and that every dead child is a technical error”. He has been bombing Tigraians since 2020.
