We have been talking all about diversity this afternoon in PSHE. Year 6W/H had to research more information about 3 diversity champions.

Year 2 have been looking at shape poetry. Today children used a paper plate to decorate a pumpkin and wrote their own poem on the back. I found a pumpkin ripe and round. The smallest pumpkin in town. It has a big nose and smelly toes. Ready for Halloween night! 🎃👻

Year 4PM had an inspiring visit to the impressive Lit & Phil in Newcastle to take part in the Young Invention Challenge! 💡 We planned, designed and created our own inventions, and one of our talented pupils was selected as a runner-up out of 250 applicants! 🏆

Year 6W enjoyed using Numicon this morning in maths to help them simplify fractions.

Congratulations to our Communication & Teamwork winners this half-term. 👏👏👏 We are so proud of how you demonstrate these values and you set a fantastic example to the rest of the school.

🎨🤝 Art, friendship and a little creativity! For our Rotary competition, we drew around a friend’s hand and used oil pastels and pens to bring our friendship pictures to life ✋🥰

Year 2 hard at work evaluating their vehicles! The children are reflecting on what went well, discussing what they could improve, and using their design sheets and vehicles to help them write thoughtful evaluations. Great teamwork, problem-solving and reflection! 🌟 🚗🔧

Well done to our Year 3 & 4 tag rugby players, who had a great morning at the Blyth Rugby Club.

Year 3 were using their communication and teamwork skills in PE again, to transport water across the elephant graveyard without spilling and by choosing the most appropriate container! We definitely got wet!
