We’re announcing that Forus has raised a $150M Series C at a $3B valuation to build the AI network for medicine. Medicine will remain one of the world’s most important industries until humanity achieves immortality, and we are only at the beginning of a new era in what it can do. GLP-1s are changing obesity and cardiometabolic disease. Gene therapies can treat diseases at their genetic source. New cancer treatments are turning diagnoses that were once fatal into diseases people can live with. AI is enabling us to discover of new drugs even faster. But discovery is only the beginning. It still takes more than a decade and billions of dollars to turn a new molecule into an approved medicine, and once it reaches market, more than a third of patients prescribed specialty treatments never receive their first dose. Forus is creating the AI network to accelerate the entire medicine pipeline, from development and launch through prescription and treatment. We connect the companies creating medicines with the doctors who prescribe them and the patients who need them. Today, Forus supports millions of people across all 50 states and is already used by providers to treat patients in 85% of U.S. residential ZIP codes. 9 of the top 15 global biopharma companies work with us, alongside many fast-growing biotechs. Our goal is to put Forus in every doctor’s office in the country and unlock an order of magnitude more medicine for society. There is a generational opportunity to rethink how new medicine reaches people. Forus is becoming how medicine moves from discovery to treatment in America, and as we scale, we’ll become the most important company in life sciences. Forus is not constrained by capital or customer demand; we are constrained by the talent and capacity of our team. To take on the opportunity in front of us, we need exceptional engineers and operators in New York who want to move fast and help us make something that matters. Come build with us. Our Series C was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint, BoxGroup, Pear VC, Vast Ventures, and SV Angel investing alongside them.

I read Shoe Dog for the third or fourth time. This episode will make you want to run through walls. My favorite quotes from the new episode: 1. Somebody may beat me, but they’re going to have to bleed to do it. 2. It was us against the world, and we felt damn sorry for the world. 3. The cowards never started and the weak died along the way. That leaves us. 4. The roadside was littered with cautious, conservative, prudent entrepreneurs. I wanted to keep my foot pressed hard on the gas pedal. 5. I just didn't want to lose. Losing was death. 6. I was no longer making Nikes; Nikes were making me. 7. The problems never stop. 8. Beating the competition is relatively easy. Beating yourself is a never-ending commitment. 9. Our ads didn’t focus on the product, but on the spirit behind the product. 10. Obsessives were the only ones for the job. The only ones for me. 11. It seems wrong to call it “business.” It seems wrong to throw all those hectic days and sleepless nights, all those magnificent triumphs and desperate struggles, under that bland, generic banner: business. What we were doing felt like so much more. 12. We wanted, as all great businesses do, to create, to contribute, and we dared to say so aloud. 13. You are remembered for the rules you break. 14. You measure yourself by the people who measure themselves by you. 15. Don't settle for a job or a profession or even a career. Seek a calling. If you’re following your calling, the fatigue will be easier to bear, the disappointments will be fuel, the highs will be like nothing you’ve ever felt. 16. The better you get, the bigger the bull’s-eye. It’s not one man’s opinion; it’s a law of nature. 17. Entrepreneurs have always been outgunned, outnumbered. 18. Front runners always work the hardest, and risk the most. 19. No future, no past. All is now. 20. He always went against the grain. Always. 21. Belief is irresistible. 22. I could not bear the thought of losing. 23. The world is without beauty when you lose. 24. We didn't believe in letting tradition slow you down. 25. Someone somewhere once said that business is war without bullets, and I tended to agree. 26. I was fascinated by leadership under extreme conditions. 27. Don’t tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results. 28. I've never been a multitasker. I wanted to focus constantly on the one task that really mattered. 29. I flat-out didn’t want to work for someone else. I wanted to build something that was my own, something I could point to and say: I made that. 30. Sometimes knowing when to give up, when to try something else, is genius. Giving up doesn’t mean stopping. Don’t ever stop. 31. When you make something, when you add some new thing or service to the lives of strangers, making them happier, or healthier, or safer, or better, and when you do it all crisply and efficiently, smartly, the way everything should be done but so seldom is—you’re participating more fully in the whole grand human drama. 32. I honestly wish I could do it all over again.

Feel free to reach out if you'd like to help review a future part 2 that researches interesting startups building in this category: "Traditional operating systems were the n-dimensional machines of their time and that market had many winners. Observing the growth of foundation models as products, it is reasonable to expect the same from the major labs. Anticipating the next cycle of this evolution is perhaps the most interesting open question in business today. The answer must lie in platforms built atop models, businesses wrapping wrappers, and creating newly infinite machines from the ones that today seem limitless."

Well done, sir. Cheers
Ulysses has raised $46M led by a16z American Dynamism. We are building The Ocean Company. The ocean is 71% of the planet. But it is less explored than Mars, and full of secrets, waiting to be told. It is the backbone of global defense. Home to the critical infrastructure that powers our world. And the key to the health of our planet. This frontier needs technology to protect and steward it. We are building it. And we need more builders Join us and explore the Great Blue Frontier: theoceancompany.com/careers

A record breaking $188M was earned by people on Whop last month. > 120+ people made more than $250K > 300+ people made more than $100K > 600+ people made more than $50K > 2,000+ earned more than $10K > 35,000+ earned more than $1 There has never been a more important time for an open internet market to exist, where people can exchange ideas, software, and even physical products. With support for physical products added a month ago, we’ve already created an extra $36M in annualized revenue for our merchant base. We are now working hard to make it easier for more people to create quality offerings, opening up our payments and payouts infrastructure for other platforms, and expanding our affiliates + advertising products so that everyone has out of the box distribution by selling on Whop. Next up, we’ll be releasing new things you can do with your earned money on Whop. More soon 🚀
