The US military has reportedly developed plans that could include deploying the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb, nicknamed the “Mother of All Bombs,” against Iranian nuclear facilities and energy infrastructure if President Donald Trump authorizes renewed military strikes.
According to CNN, which cited American officials familiar with the discussions, using one of America’s most powerful non-nuclear weapons would represent a major escalation. However, military planners reportedly remain divided over whether the weapon could accomplish Washington’s strategic objectives.
