Pierre Sage says he spoke to Eddie Nketiah last week about reaching his true potential. He wants more from him. He compared his situation to Emile Smith Rowe at Fulham… “I think his potential is higher than his performance for the moment. “And we have to reduce this gap - because he needs it, the team needs it. “When you have the talent, when you have the skills, it’s a mental thing. You have to be quiet, you have to be determined - you have to find the balance between these two things. “And I think in his situation, the fight when you don’t play too much, the fight to have pressure when you play because you need to score to stay on the pitch, this may be a bad period, but when he will switch he will be able to do really important things for us. “I know another player in the other team, Smith Rowe, and I think it’s similar. Big potential and now he’s not at his level what we saw before.” #cpfc #FulhamFC

Pierre Sage on if he can reassure fans he’s the right person for Crystal Palace 🗣️ “It’s normal that people lose patience when you lose. “Everybody wants to win, us first. We do the job to win. In this period it was not the case. “I don’t have to convince people around the club, I just have to convince the players to do their best, to compete and to continue their improvement. “After that, this kind of decision of what we are speaking about is to the chairman and owners. “For me, the noise around the team and club is only noise.” #cpfc
