I am clueless on how to react for this. Nungambakkam recorded 22 mm and Meenambakkam recorded 17 mm for 24 hours ending today morning. Nungambakkam Max temperature was 31.3°C and Meenambakkam max temperature was 31°C yesterday. The Northeast Monsoon tally is at 34 cms against the average of 38 cms as on date. Not a disaster year by any means.

Under the influence of the Easterlies, Delta and South TN may see moderate rains at many places with few places likely to see heavy rains in South TN. Isolated places in West TN may see heavy rains as well as moisture gets dragged across. North TN may see light / moderate rains with at times heavy spells over coastal places like Chennai.

It might sound ironic to post about Best Phase of NEM 2026 when the last few days have not seen much rainfall activity for Chennai. But things are falling in place for what could be the best phase of of NEM 2026 with middle of November potentially seeing its peak. Coastal places including some parts of Chennai have seen early morning showers which is an indication of the strengthening Easterlies. The next 5 - 7 days may favor Delta and South TN which may mean a wet Diwali for these places. North Coastal TN may see isolated / scattered rains during this phase while we wait for a fresh disturbance to form in Bay late next week. In the meanwhile one in the hand is better than two in the bush so the rains from Easterlies will keep the rainfall meter ticking for the next few days.. chennairains.com/best-phase-…

Statement: Legal notice to the Delhi Police and X Corp. over takedown demands against IFF’s account
On 3 November 2026, X Corp. forwarded to us two “Illegal Content Reports” submitted in the name of the Special Commissioner of Police (Crime), @delhipolice. The first, dated 31 October, sought removal of a post we published on 30 October and a post by @SFLCin. The second, dated 2 November, sought removal of 37 posts and the withholding of three accounts in their entirety, @internetfreedom, @SFLCin and @geoblockedindia, on the ground that they defame the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The posts in question reproduce and comment on a legal notice that was sent to us. They are protected speech under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution. We were given no notice before these reports were filed. We learnt of them only because X forwarded copies.
Today, through our counsel Advocate Abhik Chimni and his colleagues, we served a legal notice on the Delhi Police, with a copy to X Corp.
Our position is simple:
1. Defamation is a non-cognizable offence. The police cannot investigate it without a Magistrate’s order, and cognizance can be taken only on a complaint by the person aggrieved.
2. The reports cite no complaint, no FIR, no Magistrate’s order and no court order, even though the box for “enforcement of court order” was ticked. Under Shreya Singhal v. Union of India, an intermediary can be required to take down content only on a court order or a reasoned government notification. A web form with “hate speech”, “defamation”, “safety/security” and “court order” ticked against 40 URLs, with one sentence of reasons, is not that.
3. Whether something is defamatory is for a court to decide after hearing the author. A police officer cannot decide it himself and direct a platform to act on his decision. Demanding that three accounts be withheld in full is grossly disproportionate to any grievance stated.
We have called upon the Delhi Police to withdraw both reports or disclaim within seven days, to furnish us the complaint and authority on which they were made, and to confirm that no further takedown requests will be made on this matter. If they do not, we will approach the Delhi High Court under Article 226. We have also requested X Corp. to take no action on the reports pending their withdrawal or adjudication.
We are grateful to Advocate Abhik Chimni and his team for representing us in this matter. Redacted copies of the notice are attached.

அன்புத்தம்பி கார்த்திக் சுப்புராஜ் எழுத்து இயக்கத்தில், இசை இறைவன் இளையராஜா இசையில் வெளிவந்திருக்கும் டோரதி திரைப்படத்தை கண்டேன். 1990களில் சாதிய வன்முறை நிலவும் கிராமப்புற தமிழ்நாட்டைப் பின்னணியாகக் கொண்டு சமூகம் பேசத் தயங்குகிற, பலரும் சொல்லத் துணியாத இயற்கையின் பாலியல் மாற்றத்தை பற்றிய கதையைக் கையில் எடுத்து, அதனை உணர்வும் உயிர்ப்பும் நிறைந்த அழகிய திரைப்படைப்பாக உருவாக்கியிருக்கும் அன்புத்தம்பி கார்த்திக் சுப்புராஜை எவ்வளவு பாராட்டினாலும் தகும்!
மனிதர்களை அவர்களது இயல்போடும் உணர்வுகளோடும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிற மனப்பக்குவத்தை வளர்ப்பதே கலையின் உயர்ந்த பணி. புறக்கணிக்கப்படும் மனிதர்களின் வலியை உணரவும், அவர்களது அன்பையும் வாழ்வுரிமையையும் மதிக்கவும் வைக்கிற படைப்புகள் காலத்தின் தேவையாகின்றன. புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்ட மக்களின் குரலாக கலை மாறும்போது அது புனிதமாகிறது. அந்த வகையில், பார்வையாளனின் மனச்சாட்சியோடு உரையாடும் படைப்பாக ‘டோரதி’யைப் படைத்திருக்கும் தம்பி கார்த்திக் சுப்புராஜின் படைப்புத் துணிவுக்கும் மனிதநேயத்திற்கும் எனது அன்பும் பாராட்டுகளும்!
ஒரு கதையைத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதில் தொடங்கி, அதற்குரிய திரைமொழியை உருவாக்குவது வரை, படைப்பாளனின் பொறுப்புணர்வு வெளிப்பட வேண்டும். சொல்ல வந்த கருத்தின் ஆழமும், அதைச் சொல்லும் விதத்தின் அழகும் ஒன்றிணையும்போதுதான் சிறந்த திரைப்படம் பிறக்கிறது. அத்தகைய அக்கறையோடு இப்படத்தை உருவாக்கியிருக்கும் தம்பியின் கலைப்பயணம் மேலும் பல உயரங்களைத் தொடட்டும்!
இப்படம் இசை இறைவன், எங்கள் அன்பிற்கும் பெருமதிப்பிற்குமுரிய ஐயா இளையராஜா அவர்களின் அளப்பரிய இசைப்பேராற்றலால், திரையில் சொல்லப்படும் உணர்வுகளுக்கு உயிரூட்டி, ஒரு சிறந்த திரைப்படத்தைக் காவிய அனுபவமாக உயர்த்துகிறது! காலங்கள் மாறலாம்; தலைமுறைகள் மாறலாம்; இசையை ரசிக்கும் முறைகளும் மாறலாம். ஆனால், மனித மனத்தின் ஆழத்தை தொட்டு உணர்வினை உசுப்பும் எங்கள் இசை இறைவனின் இசை வலிமை என்றும் மாறுவதில்லை. இன்றைய தலைமுறையும் ரசித்து மகிழும் பாடல்களை வழங்கியிருக்கும் இசை இறைவனின் படைப்பாற்றல் நம்மை மீண்டும் வியக்க வைக்கிறது. தலைமுறைகளைக் கடந்து தமிழர்களின் உணர்வுகளோடு பயணிக்கும் அவரது இசைக்கு தமிழினம் என்றும் கடமைப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
தனது கதாபாத்திரத்தின் உணர்வுகளை உள்வாங்கி, அதற்கு உயிர்கொடுத்திருக்கும் அன்புத்தம்பி சனத் நடித்திருக்கிற விதம் பெரிதும் பாராட்டத்தக்கது. ஒரு மனிதரின் அக உலகத்தைப் பார்வையாளனிடம் கொண்டுசேர்ப்பதற்கு நுட்பமான நடிப்பும் ஆழமான புரிதலும் வேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு காட்சியாக நகரும் திரைக்கதையில் பாலின மாற்றத்தை படிப்படியாக தனது ஆகச்சிறந்த நடிப்பின் மூலம் வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கும் தம்பிக்கு எனது பாராட்டுகள். இயல்பான நடிப்பின் வழியே தனது கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு நம்பகத்தன்மையையும் உணர்வுச் செறிவையும் அளித்திருக்கிறார் அன்புத்தம்பி ரிஷிகாந்த். கதையோடு ஒன்றிப்போகும் அவரது நடிப்பும், உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்தும் நேர்த்தியும் அவரது திறமைக்கு சான்று. தனது அனுபவமும் நடிப்பாற்றலும் அசாத்திய உடல் மொழியும் கொண்டு கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு வலுசேர்த்து விசில் வீரைய்யாவாக வாழ்ந்திருக்கிறார் அன்புத்தம்பி முத்துகுமார். ஒரு பாத்திரத்தின் தன்மையை உணர்ந்து, அதற்குரிய அழுத்தத்தைத் திரையில் கொண்டுவரும் அவரது திறன் பாராட்டுக்குரியது. டோரதியாக வரும் நடிகை கீர்த்தி சுரேஷ், கதாபாத்திரத்தின் உணர்வுகளுக்கு முதன்மையளித்துத் தனது நடிப்பால் படைப்பிற்கு மேலும் அழகுசேர்த்திருக்கிறார். ஒளியையும் நிழலையும் உணர்வுகளின் மொழியாக்கி, கதையின் சூழலுக்குள் நம்மையும் அழைத்துச் செல்லும் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் திரு கதாபாத்திரங்களின் மனவோட்டத்தையும், சொல்லப்படாத வலிகளையும் காட்சிகளின் வழியே உணர்த்தி, படைப்பிற்கு மேலும் உயிரூட்டியிருக்கிறார். அத்தோடு இப்படைப்பைச் சாத்தியப்படுத்திய தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், படத்தொகுப்பு உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்துத் தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்கள், நடிகர்கள் என அனைவருக்கும் எனது நெஞ்சம் நிறைந்த பாராட்டுகளைத் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறேன்.
அடிப்படைவாதம், ஆணாதிக்கம், சாதியம், வன்முறை , ஆவணக் கொலைகள் போன்ற சகிக்க முடியாத கொடூரங்களும் அநீதிகளும் பெருகி , ஆழமாகப் பதிந்துள்ள ஓர் உலகில், சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே பிரிக்கமுடியாத நண்பர்களாக வளரும் இரு இளைஞர்களின் வாழ்க்கையின் ஊடாக அனைத்தையும் காட்டி பாலியல் பாகுபாடு, திருநர் சமூகத்தின் அகநிலை என மனிதர்களைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளவும், இதுவரை தமிழ்த்திரையில் விரிவாக பேசப்படாத மூன்றாம் பாலினத்தவரின் உலகை பொதுச் சமூகம் நேர்மையாக அறிந்து கொள்ளவும், எல்லாவற்றையும் தாண்டி நம்மோடு சரிசமமாக வாழும் சக மனிதரை உளப்பூர்வமாக நேசிக்கவும், துயர் சூழ்ந்த அவர்களது வாழ்வை ஏற்று மதிக்கவும் துணைநிற்கும் இதுபோன்ற மதிப்பு மிகுந்த படைப்புகள் தமிழ்த்திரையில் மேலும் பெருகட்டும்!
ஏற்கனவே திரையரங்கில் மாபெரும் வெற்றி பெற்ற "டோரதி" இப்போது தொலைக்காட்சிகளிலும் வெளியாகி அனைவரது பெரும் வரவேற்பிற்கு உள்ளாகி வருவது எனக்கு நெகிழ்வை தருகிறது.
