North Harrow Conservatives

Labour cannot be trusted on Planning. When they last run the council, 265 The Ridgeway was at risk from a major development of tower blocks. Only by voting Conservative can we protect the suburban character of Harrow.

Our precious greenbelt and open spaces are the lungs of Harrow. They are under attack from Labour and Reform UK, who want to build on the greenbelt. If Labour gain power our greenbelt and open spaces are at risk.

We'll enforce new rules on conversions of family homes to HMOs and protect our suburbs from tall buildings. In Barnet, Labour allowed 25 blocks of 29 storey flats. If Labour gain power they will concrete over our suburbs.

Our 1 hour free parking policy has been used 10 million times since 2022 by local people. Labour has always opposed 1 hour free parking and voted against the policy 7 times. If Labour gain power they will scrap free parking.

We have now held 3 'Drop & Go' local recycling events across Harrow. The response from residents has been fantastic, with the Council collecting over 16 tonnes of waste. We are making it easier for local people to recycle and dispose of their waste responsibly.

Our 3rd 'Drop & Go' local recycling event will take place in Roxeth Ward on Saturday 19th July. The first two events in North Harrow and Belmont were very popular and resulted in over 12 tonnes of waste being disposed of responsibly.

By investing it state of the art machinery and increasing funding, we have expanded the Council's pothole repair capacity by over 730% compared to 2021/22. While we know there is still much more to be done, we are making progress in improving Harrow's highways.
