Will this be the catalyst of some great change?
No.
Will this be what finally wakes the French people up?

What will happen is just an ever so slight acceleration of what is already happening:
• A bit more support for Rassemblement National on the French side.
• A bit higher levels of anti-White hatred from the Third Worders (feeling a bit more emboldened by the recent attacks).
So, no military coup (the military will sit on their hands doing nothing).
It will just a continued grind in the political system.
On Monday, things will have calmed down and people will go on with their lives.
The Liberals (religious fanatics) will come up with creative theories to explain the extreme cruelty displayed by the Third Worlders:
“The school system is not good enough.”
“They have not gotten enough resources.”
“They have been discriminated against.”
As if any of the usual arguments would explain why they laugh at a man burning.
Enjoyers of European civilisation must continue the work of curing the minds of our peoples. The more people who are cured of Liberalism (Liberalism in the sense of seeing these perpetrators as individuals instead of a massive collective of hostile invaders), the greater our chances are of enacting political changes.
At the risk of repeating myself, this chaos and anti-White violence will continue until enough good people are in institutions of power (law and politics, primarily).

Intolerant of hypocrisy and inconsistency, while comparatively indifferent to social norms and lacking typical fear of ostracism that governs normie behaviour, they are capable of pressing the reset button when things go in the wrong direction.
you have to understand that westerners don't really lie. they don't really engage in deliberate propaganda. it's not that easy. they say things that they wish were true, and then they believe those things because they and 99% of the people around them are all saying the same thing. "russian hybrid attacks" are a thing because everyone says it is a thing. "ukraine is a thriving democracy" because everyone says it is a thriving democracy. "russia has 3 million casualties vs ukraine's 80,000", "your mask protects me, my mask protects you", "safe and effective", "mostly peaceful protests", the slogans go on and on. and everyone truly, deeply, believes them, at least in europe. leaked conversations between western leaders and between western leaders and ukrainian representatives (or people who they assume to be ukrainian representatives cf. vovan and lexus) show that the messaging they use publicly they also use with each other. it is not just propaganda for public consumption - they actually believe this stuff. a lot of western dissidents fail to grasp this fundamental aspect of the society in which they live - their elites do not have mere venal or some other motivations, rather they are high priests, fanatical zealots, of a religion to which the masses are all adherents. it is convenient that they also end up fabulously wealthy and influential because of their vehement faith, but that is a side product of the fact they control all the institutions, not the primary motivation of the individual actors within this system

Canada reported a TFR of 1.26 in 2025, the same as in 2024.

Sweden's Right-wing coalition got the order of operations wrong.
They did the typical conservative thing of passing policies that would objectively make people's lives better. They succeeded, and then people stopped caring about the issues that got the Right elected in the first place because they no longer saw them as problems to solve.
The siren song of progressivism and social democracy then lured these people back into complacency, as it always does in any universal mass democracy.
The order of operations shouldn't be:
Get elected -> Solve problems -> Lose to the Left because you've already solved the immediate problem that got you elected in the first place -> Wait for the Left to break something -> Try to win off of the ensuing backlash.
It should be:
Get elected -> Defund the Left -> Solve the first set of problems the Left created -> Win in an even greater landslide -> Crush the Left further -> Solve even larger problems you couldn't solve before because you didn't have a large enough majority.
Each action you take should make the next action easier. This is why the Trump administration got off on such a strong foot with the shuttering of USAID and the defunding of large swaths of the Left's patronage network.
The lesson here is to stop playing fair. Power is a tool to be wielded in order to destroy your enemies, not merely to do a good job of administering the daily functions of state.

Are you saying that a small but influential group of people with deviant preferences are causing us problems? That sounds generally applicable.

- This pattern holds across gender, class, race, nationality and political views;
- More traditional densification schemes seem to attract remarkably high levels of survey support;
- Laypeople and design professionals respond dramatically differently, with professionals far more favourable to modern styles.
Research is still at an early stage, and many questions remain. Personally, I am particularly interested in how the public would respond to a non-traditional but richer and more decorative style? I think they might like it, but we don’t have hard evidence yet.
But the results are already puzzling. Why do people end up buying buildings that are so different to the buildings they say they prefer? How did we end up in this odd situation? What can we do about it?
