DEVELOPING: Former SAPS National Deputy Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya has argued that the Randburg Magistrates court wrongfully denied his release by not establishing the factual basis for the human trafficking charge or sufficient evidence. He denies evidence tampering and alleges that Witness M, the father of the 16-year-old alleged to be sexually groomed by Sibiya, initiated threats. Sibiya's counsel claims that the exclusion of the IPID from the investigation is fraudulent and that his detention at the C-Max facility harms his mental health. They state that exceptional circumstances exist, despite the court's misclassification of the bail hearing. He is set to return to court on 24 November 2026. Story Developing @eNCA

DEVELOPING: Former SAPS Major-General Feroz Khan has completed his in-camera testimony. It was conducted on 2 and 3 November 2026. Khan is said to be in good spirits, but still has health-related challenges. It is understood that Khan is also initiating legal proceedings against individuals including Leonora Phethle, Londiwe Xulu, and Vusi Shongwe for perjury. #MadlangaCommision @eNCA

DEVELOPING LEAD: Maumela’s Ferrari is up for auction from 6 November 2026. Following a Special Tribunal order, the SIU-appointed curator can sell the SF90 Stradale for at least R9.5 million, with proceeds held in an interest-bearing trust account until civil proceedings end. The Pretoria High Court recently dismissed Morgan Maumela and MHR Maumela Family Trust trustees’ urgent bid to stop the sale. The Ferrari was among luxury vehicles preserved in September 2025 amid an SIU investigation into alleged corruption and maladministration at Tembisa Hospital, where about R2 billion was allegedly looted.
