This compares the average starting field position for each team's return unit with the average starting field position allowed by its kickoff coverage unit. A look at running back first-down rate on the ground and through the air after Week 1. It is obviously still a small sample, but it will be interesting to see how this updates throughout the season. Ken Walker was also truly dominant from an efficiency standpoint against the Broncos.

My biggest issue with PFF grades (besides arguing the grade on individual throws) is that they claim to group plays into one of 9 “bins” (from -2.0 to 2.0). But from everything I’ve seen, the overwhelming majority of plays really fall into just 5 “bins” (from -1.0 to 1.0). That means throws with clearly different levels of quality can end up getting the exact same grade. A throw that barely qualifies as a +0.5 and one that is almost good enough to be a +1.0 are treated the same (even though there can be a real difference between them). I understand why PFF does this. It would be much harder for graders to reliably tell the difference between something like a +0.6 and a +0.7 (and that could add even more subjectivity). But if you could grade plays on a smaller scale (say 0.1 instead of 0.5), you could keep more information and get a more precise idea of QB performance.
