A fiat system, where base money is not anything real, will always tend to lead to centralized control. Centralized control creates distortions & bubbles, but more importantly it leads to big govt. Big govt & their abuses of power is the real problem, and I think @GeorgeGammon would agree with that. In a system where money can be created from nothing by an exclusive club of the few, it will always lead to a centralized system. The "free market" of banking risk and bankruptcy will always be plugged up more and more over time until it ceases to exist because the power to do so exists completely in the hands of the banks & govt via simple ledgers and write offs. Money is just a number on a screen. When money is #silver and #gold the people, who have the option of physically holding this cash & not just notes, have the real power of the free market - of deciding who survives & who goes bankrupt by cashing out. There can be no writing off by govt or big corps without also paying up - someone will lose. Pain is necessary for real freedom. #Gold and #silver ensure that pain, which prevents the system from centralizing over time. That is the most important reason for sound money. Two lesser reasons are: 1) When money comes from nothing, and big banks achieve a certain threshold of societal power - at a certain point they become incentivized to rob society via "investment" in financial schemes & derivatives, because they can make more & faster there than by creating true, long standing value. The scandal of the internet IPOs in the 90s - whereby a bank would make a killing on inside deals beforehand and then sell immediately after IPO & the stock would plummet is an example of this phenomenon in infancy. The incentive to invest in real value was not strong enough to overcome this greed. The companies suffered from the .com bust, banking system chugged on. Now this malinvestment phenomenon is worldwide. This is why the Eurodollar, despite being a result of so called "free market", is a perverse structure: it has pushed financialization worldwide & crushed real value. 2) Their is a value tax with the creation of money which is completely absorbed by the banks. In a more closed money supply system, the value would be absorbed by the public as the value of money goes up when goods & services expand - built in savings. Would this make rates on loans go straight up? Yes, you are correct, borrowing would be very hard. It would be catastrophic to the current way of life. You are right to not brush that aside. But maybe the current system of things needs to be crushed? There is most certainly a culture of debasement that has grown alongside the big banks, as demonstrated by confessions like this: youtu.be/pn548uALuYw?feature… Additionally, the culture of investment in a more closed money supply system would naturally move from making a % on a transaction to long term ownership and partnership - which is far more healthy & desirable for society in the long run. Giving away my money would be hard if I can let it sit and earn 3% doing nothing, especially when there is risk of losing it. But if that decision is based on lifetime ownership or long term partnership between two private small businesses - rather than trying to cut the difference on a mortgage transaction with a nameless person, or dumping it into a pile for mega-corps on a stock exchange - then it starts to make more sense. We need more private investment and less public for the middle class to thrive. And middle class is essential for a republican form of govt to survive. Finally, this theoretical complex environment of crowd sourcing private investment & ownership sharing of non-public companies is complex, but the digital age makes all this achievable with ease. It is not in the interests of the big banks though, so it will never happen without collapse of the current system.
Interesting Q&A: Great observation, but how would it differ if the manufacturer only borrowed the $5 that exists? (The bank didn’t lend money into existence) Everything you described would happen. So you have to answer the question of why using fiduciary media to create more widgets constitutes a misallocation of resources but borrowing gold doesn’t. What you described is simply the process of creating more widgets which would obviously take resources from something else. Putting on my Austrian hat I assume they’d say it’s because the additional “money” makes rates lower than they otherwise would be and this creates the misallocation/malinvestment/boom bust. This is where my view differs.

Like 40% of S&P500 is down more than 20%. The market is broken & disconnected. Big names continue to get funded & prop the whole thing up - this is from institutionalized flows: siloed retirement money, govt contracts being re-invested etc. Gold is not tradfi - when there is underlying pressure, it gets sold - no banks or govts or flows to prop it up. The mega caps won't be a safe haven forever though, esp. if the geopolitical situation continues to unravel. And there is no way to unravel the Iran situation cleanly - unless Netanyahu & Trump suddenly decide to quit life & retire & take the whole bureaucracy with them.
For perspective, Gold closed at a new 52-week low yesterday relative to the S&P500. nitter.gq/PeterSchiff/status/211…

This exchange got me blocked by @pluant - even though I've followed him for a long time. People need to grow some thick skin. You can't go out detracting against a priest or public figure and then just block anyone who emphatically disagrees. Such a weak and sad way to respond to a fellow Catholic, instead of replying - I just can't comprehend it...

He has been very clear that he does not engage in discussion with demons or needlessly discuss things. That is a misrepresentation. Sometimes they are compelled to reveal certain things that have to do with their particular vices / name, and how they will be removed. This is what he brings up - & yes sometimes it is very interesting.

The only real mistake here was announcing the private Mass on social media
Called it last week. Just like I predicted, once someone in the chancery got wind of this "private" Mass celebrated by an ED order priest in a private chapel that became public on social media, the powers that be reacted viciously. Everyone involved owes a very, very sincere apology to all the trads who warned them this would happen while they insisted everything was just fine. And the ED priest in question, whoever he is, needs to stop doing things that will make the bishops contemplate kicking the entire order out of their dioceses. An appalling display of poor judgment by everyone involved.

Simon has been found dead, reportedly from "suicide." RIP to Simon and to all whistleblowers who have died too young. The truth about Lutnick will never die
I am the British whistleblower who reported evidence concerning Howard Lutnick, his links to Jeffrey Epstein, and Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC to the FBI in 2020–21. Listen to the BBC File on 4 documentary about my whistleblower story: bbc.com/audio/play/m002yx47 BBC News: bbc.com/news/articles/c9q28d… I later shared evidence with the House Oversight Committee, which subsequently questioned Lutnick behind closed doors. My disclosures also contributed to regulatory action in the US and UK, including a £96m HMRC tax assessment relating to BGC’s partnership scheme. I believe the true tax exposure is substantially higher. I also reported to the FBI and financial regulators matters involving Cantor Fitzgerald’s Relief Fund and BGC/Cantor’s annual 9/11 Charity Day. The personal consequences of whistleblowing, and the retaliation I say followed, have been devastating for my family and me. Mother Jones previously reported that documents I uncovered revealed a years-long business tie between Howard Lutnick, Cantor Fitzgerald and Jeffrey Epstein through AdFin, including a 2018 exchange in which Lutnick and Epstein discussed the company directly: motherjones.com/politics/202… motherjones.com/politics/202… Follow me here on X and on LinkedIn. I intend to share more of the evidence and the story behind what happened.

Not true. Crusader states were around for couple hundred years - comparable to the USA! And they lived in relative peace with Islamic neighbors and adopted a local culture, but Christianized. 3rd crusade Richard Lionheart laid the smackdown on Saladin, even after the Franks and Holy Roman Empire abandoned the war and he was left alone. He failed to retake Jerusalem because he quit the campaign early - due to being betrayed by his kin in France and England. Most of the other "crusades" were hardly such. But later on Christians won against impossible odds at both Vienna and Malta. If either of those battles had been lost all of Europe would have surely fallen. But yes, Hegseth is a moron. Crusaders would have never fought for a zionist state occupying the Holy Land - the crusade would've been against them firstly and would've cared nothing about the Persian state.
I always laugh when they romanticize the Crusades because it’s like did you even bother to look into who won those? Lmao like the Muslims pack them boys up 8 times in a row 😂

Jesus is not a fake god. He is a historical figure with strong contemporary attestation, claimed divinity through resurrection accounts that launched the world's largest religion, and stands apart from the purely mythological figures in that image.

1) This is not what happened. There was no toppling of the top portion. You can tell through the smoke. It fell into its own footprint. 2) This fancy simulation is not mathematical. You don't get acceleration of freefall into higher resistance. The lower floors were allegedly untouched. There was a lot of steel supports. You would have seen more toppling or at least a slowing of the fall, followed by further delayed collapses hours later.
I find these World Trade Center simulations by Kostack Studio fascinating because they remove the smoke and let you see the collapse much more clearly. In the real footage, so much is hidden by fire, dust, debris, distance, and chaos that many people come away with the impression that the towers simply dropped straight down into their own footprints. But that is not really what happened. These simulations make it much easier to see that the collapse begins in the heavily damaged and fire-weakened region, the upper section starts moving and tilting, and the destruction then propagates downward through the structure. The towers do not simply disappear vertically into their own footprints. Large portions of the upper structure and exterior are moving outward and to the side as the collapse develops. Much of that motion is simply obscured in the real videos once the enormous debris cloud forms. And this is also why I find these simulations useful when people describe the collapses as looking like “controlled demolition.” Strip away the smoke and dust and the resemblance becomes much less convincing. What you see is a highly asymmetric structural failure beginning around the aircraft-damaged and fire-affected floors, followed by an enormous moving mass progressively overwhelming the structure beneath it. There is tilting, rotation, exterior columns peeling away, debris being thrown far outside the building footprint, and structural failure occurring chaotically as the collapse moves downward. That is very different from the neat mental image usually implied by “controlled demolition,” where structural supports are deliberately severed in a carefully timed sequence to produce a predetermined collapse. And importantly, we already know what preceded these collapses. Both towers suffered massive aircraft-impact damage. Fireproofing was stripped from portions of the structure. Large, uncontrolled fires then burned across multiple floors - for about 56 minutes in the South Tower and about 102 minutes in the North Tower - heating and weakening structural components until collapse initiated. Once that upper mass began moving, the loads imposed on the floors and structure beneath became vastly greater than anything they had been designed to carry. The result was progressive collapse. No, an animation is not proof simply because it looks convincing, and these are not official NIST simulations. They are visualizations built under particular assumptions. But as visualizations, I think they are extremely useful. They let you see something the original footage often cannot show clearly: beneath that enormous cloud of smoke and debris was a complicated, violent, asymmetric structural failure - not two buildings neatly dropping straight down into their own footprints. A note on the simulation: this is not intended to reproduce the collapse down to the exact motion of every beam, floor panel, and fragment of debris. No practical simulation could do that. Its value is in modeling the large-scale structural behavior - how the major sections deform, move, tilt, separate, and progressively fail. Think of it as a visualization of the mechanics and overall collapse behavior, not a frame-by-frame reconstruction of where every piece of steel ultimately landed.

Kind of boggles my mind that these cops aren't afraid of reprisals yet. You can only push people so far
“I’m arresting you for improper use of the Communications Network” “Am I being arrested and locked up for the night?” “Do I need to bring my medication?” It’s just been revealed to at over 60,000 Brits have been arrested for ‘Online Offences over the last 5 years - this included arrests for people just watching content, or liking it online. The UK is a Police State (But only for White English people)

“This is how I’m seeing [my husband] Hrysha off [to war]. Lord, save him and keep him safe!” a woman cries, pointing at a bus packed with forcibly mobilized men. As you can see, every one of them is in handcuffs. Zelensky’s Ukraine of the “Four Freedoms” — with freedom arriving, quite literally, in chains.

Read between the lines - Ukraine will be targeting Russian civilian aircraft now
It was from Russia that the first missiles and the first drones came, and they crossed our country’s border from Russian airspace. This escalation cannot and will not remain confined to Ukrainian territory. Today, we want to warn every airline that uses Russian airspace, every insurer, and everyone who still uses Russia’s key airports: Russian airspace is becoming completely unsafe. Ukraine does not threaten civilian aviation as such – not a single civilian aircraft. There will simply be drones in Russia’s skies on a scale that has to be taken into account. Although the Russian authorities are not properly informing people about this, Russian airspace will effectively be closing – the war started by Russia is closing its skies. We in Ukraine do not want innocent lives to be lost. That is why we are warning our partners: the safe days in Russia’s skies are over. It is important that this is heard by the ambassadors of countries represented here in Ukraine, as well as by ambassadors working in Moscow. Every one of them knows exactly what Russia’s war means for our country and our people, and they must convey this information to their capitals. It is important that the airlines currently flying to airports primarily in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other key destinations in Russia hear this as well. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and our other institutions will provide international organizations with full information about the dangers in Russian airspace. Drone-infested skies are no place for civilian aviation. From the evening address.

It's not just a matter of whether the bars are all there (doubtful - there's no way each was accounted for that quickly). It's a matter of claims to said bars. Have they been leased out via financial contracts? To multiple parties? Then the gold is not there.
The good news out of Fort Knox: the gold is still there. The bad news: since 1971, when we cut the dollar loose from gold, more than 85% of the dollar's value has vanished redstate.com/wardclark/2026/…

To fund an overextended empire, Roman emperors debased their coins by diluting the precious metal content. This week, Congress will vote to eliminate the PENNY, which was already mostly zinc since 1982. The same bill will allow the U.S. Mint to make NICKELS with cheaper metal.

Fahrenheit is superior to Celsius and I’m tired of pretending this is a debate. Fahrenheit feels like temperature was designed by an human being who walks outside, feels the air, and says, “Yeah, that makes sense.” Zero is freezing. 100 is brutally hot. 70 is comfortable. 80 is warm. The numbers feel like what they are describing. Celsius feels like it was designed by a committee of people who hate joy and want every conversation about the weather to sound like a chemistry lab. “It’s 22 degrees outside.” What does that even mean to a normal person? Am I wearing shorts? Am I grabbing a jacket? Nobody knows. You need a conversion chart and a government employee standing next to you explaining the vibes. Fahrenheit gives you range. That’s the point. It gives you more numbers for the temperatures human beings actually live in. You can feel the difference between 68, 72, 76, and 80. Those numbers matter. Fahrenheit lets you describe the world with more precision without having to break into decimals like a lunatic. And here’s the other thing... Celsius is connected to the metric cult energy that came out of the French Revolution. And the French Revolution was evil. Both of the Revolution were to rip out tradition, faith, monarchy, hierarchy, the Church, the calendar, the clock, and anything that reminded man he was not God. CELSIUS IS INHERENTLY EVIL So yes, Celsius may be useful if you’re boiling water in a lab. Congratulations. But Fahrenheit is for living LIFE because Fahrenheit is for walking outside and instantly knowing what kind of day you’re about to have. 100 means hot. 70 means beautiful. Zero means don’t go outside unless you have a death wish. That’s a real system.
