The real test of the #TBWomenLeadershipAcademy2026 begins after the room empties. The cohort now carries its leadership into organizations, communities, national programs and decision-making spaces across the region. What was strengthened here must translate into greater influence, stronger gender-responsive programming and more women affected by TB shaping the systems that serve them. @TbWomenGlobal @realTBpeople @Yplus_Global @ajws @StopTB @CS4MEglobal @GlobalFund @ahfkenya #WhenWomenLeadChangeHappens

The work now moves beyond the Academy. The relationships built here must become channels for mentorship, collaboration, advocacy and collective influence across communities, organizations, national programs and global health spaces. At @Leanonmek, the objective is not to produce isolated leaders. It is to strengthen women who can lead together, influence together and create pathways for more women to follow. @Yplus_Global @GlobalFund @CS4MEglobal @AJWS @TBWomenGlobal @StopTB @realTBpeople @ahfkenya #TBWomenLeadershipAcademy2026 #WhenWomenLeadChangeHappens

Leadership practice also happened in the small moments. Speaking up. Listening differently. Questioning power. Sharing experience. Supporting another woman’s voice. Learning when to lead and when to create space for someone else. These are not secondary skills. They are part of how women build the confidence and judgement required to influence institutions and systems. @Yplus_Global @GlobalFund @CS4MEglobal @AJWS @TBWomenGlobal @StopTB @realTBpeople @ahfkenya #WhenWomenLeadChangeHappens

Different journeys brought different answers to the same challenge, how can women affected by TB have greater influence over the systems shaping their lives. #TBWomenLeadershipAcademy2026 @Yplus_Global @Leanonmek @GlobalFund @CS4MEglobal @AJWS @TBWomenGlobal @StopTB @realTBpeople

📢#SundayReflection Two days after the #TBWomenLeadershipAcademy2026, one of the strongest outcomes is not captured in a presentation slide. It is the trust built between women from different countries, sectors and lived experiences. These relationships matter because leadership is strengthened when women have spaces where they can exchange openly, learn from one another and build the networks needed to sustain influence beyond a single event. @TbWomenGlobal @realTBpeople @Yplus_Global @ajws @StopTB @CS4MEglobal @GlobalFund @ahfkenya #WhenWomenLeadChangeHappens

Meet the women at the centre of the #TBWomenLeadershipAcademy2026. Drawn from across countries, sectors and movements, this cohort brings together women with lived experience and technical expertise across TB, HIV, public health, human rights, youth leadership, advocacy and community systems. What unites them is a shared leadership mandate: to strengthen women’s influence in the decisions, institutions and systems shaping the TB response. This thread introduces the women carrying that mandate forward. @TbWomenGlobal @realTBpeople @Yplus_Global @ajws @StopTB @CS4MEglobal @GlobalFund @HerVoiceFund @HS_InsightUg @READY_Movement @DHDCNigeria #WhenWomenLeadChangeHappens

.@OConsolata🇳🇬 represents the kind of cross-sector leadership this cohort is bringing into the TB response. With experience spanning global health, HIV, human rights, governance and community-led development across more than 15 countries, she brings a perspective that connects community realities with institutional decision-making and global health leadership. Her presence in the #TBWomenLeadershipAcademy2026 reflects a wider ambition: building a constituency of women leaders with the credibility, experience and influence to shape policy, programmes and systems. @TbWomenGlobal @realTBpeople @Yplus_Global @ajws @StopTB @CS4MEglobal @GlobalFund #WhenWomenLeadChangeHappens

Beyond 2030 with PLHIV in the lead: Today, The Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) convened with PLHIV leaders from national & regional networks! What a powerful, inspirational, and energizing moment! We heard and learned from one another and resolved to come together now more than ever and SPEAK our LOUD for the community of people living with HIV we are all privileged to serve! Lots of lessons from how leaders are adapting to mitigate the obvious challenges experienced in global health currently. We are excited to strengthen our collaboration for a strong PLHIV-led advocacy towards shaping the next Global AIDS strategy (2025) and the High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS (2026). Thank you to all leaders who joined the call today and shared powerful contributions. #CommunitiesFirst #EndAids #Aliveandthrive
