π¨OK, we've been FLOODED with "doomsday" questions - mainly because you all know how closely we work with the government. We're not going to fear monger - and there are also things we can't discuss. So here's what we'll share.
Governments from Britain to Japan are now telling households to stockpile food and water while the Pentagon plans for bases to run 90 days completely off the grid.
β
The UK launched its Be Ready campaign on October 22, directing every household to keep three days of supplies including three liters of drinking water per person per day and non-perishable food that needs no fridge or cooking.
Prime Minister Andy Burnham told BBC Radio he already has plenty of beans and soup stocked, adding "I do like my beans, so I have plenty of those in the cupboard." Supermarket reports noted spikes in sales of tinned goods after the advice went out.
β
Japan's Disaster Management Minister Goshi Hosono said he will issue a nationwide emergency request on November 2, the day the new Disaster Management Agency launches, urging at least three days of food, water and toilet supplies, preferably a week. The guidance is not new but the fresh push comes as the government prepares for major earthquakes and other disasters where relief could be delayed.
β
In Normandy, the prefecture posted on October 27: "Don't wait for the emergency: prepare now!" for a 72-hour kit with water, non-perishable food, medicines, a torch, radio, cash and documents.
France and the EU have long recommended self-sufficiency for at least 72 hours, matching advice from Germany (up to 10 days), Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Estonia and others who already push for a week or more.
β
The United States has no matching national number for homes beyond Ready.gov's call for food and water to last several days. Yet former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino told his audience "Your neighbors are not going to have any extra food" and urged people to make "Fortress My House" with at least three days of supplies, an emergency radio and water filtration.
β
He contrasted that with the Pentagon's FORTRESS initiative, which aims for every major continental US base to operate at least 90 days without civilian power, water, fuel or supply lines, as reported by Fox News from internal planning documents.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has said every major installation will generate its own power independent of the civilian grid.
β
Three days for most homes. Ninety days for a US base. Gonna let you think about that one.
But here's the one prep NOBODY is talking about - your soul.
You'll never be prepared "enough" for what might soon come. But are you and your family prepared for what comes after all of this?
Last we checked, the mortality rate in America for life is hovering around 100%. So where are you going after? Because none of us are making it off this planet alive.
The most important preparation you can make right now for you and your family is turning to Jesus. Get yourself a Bible and get yourself into a good Bible-based church right now (we recommend @thecoe22).
Tomorrow isn't promised... but for those who believe in Jesus, eternity with Him IS.

We all need to go to The Cheesecake Factory this weekend and order the cheesesteak egg rolls.
Bessent recommends them.
The Marthaβs Vineyard set should give it a try.

Air Force pilot Joe Jackson was circling 9,000 feet above a Special Forces camp in Vietnam in his C-123 cargo plane, an aircraft with no guns, when the radio confirmed the last people had been flown out. Fighter jets were cleared to destroy what was left of the camp and the enemy with it. Then a voice broke in. 3 American airmen were still down there.
The camp was Kham Duc, May 12, 1968, and it was falling. Thousands of enemy troops had it surrounded. Ammunition dumps were exploding, 8 aircraft had already been destroyed, and the enemy held gun positions on the runway itself.
The 3 men, Maj. John Gallagher, Tech. Sgt. Mort Freedman and Staff Sgt. Jim Lundie, had been flown out earlier that day, then sent back in to help with the evacuation. Now everyone else was gone. They were hiding in a ditch beside the runway with 3 rifles. βI never felt so lonely in all my life,β Freedman said later.
Another C-123 went in first. It landed under heavy fire, the crew couldnβt find the men, and the pilot pushed the throttles forward to get out. Just before liftoff they spotted the 3 men in the ditch, but it was too late to stop. The men watched what they thought was their last hope take off without them.
Jackson was next. He had flown fighters in World War II and Korea, and he knew the enemy gunners expected him to come in low and slow like every cargo plane before him. So he didnβt.
He pointed the nose down and dove almost straight at the runway from 9,000 feet. The gunners were caught by surprise. He pulled out just above the trees and landed on a strip littered with debris, where a wrecked helicopter had cut the usable runway to 2,200 feet.
The 3 men ran for the plane and were pulled aboard. As they climbed in, a rocket skidded to a stop less than 25 feet from the nose. It didnβt explode.
Jackson taxied around it and pushed the throttles all the way forward. Within 10 seconds, mortar rounds were landing on the spot they had just left. Tracers crossed the runway ahead of them.
The plane had been on the ground for less than a minute. It took off through the fire with all 3 men aboard, the last Americans out of Kham Duc. βWhen I looked up and saw that C-123 coming in, it was like a miracle,β Lundie said.
It was his 296th combat mission in Vietnam. President Lyndon Johnson presented him the Medal of Honor at the White House. Jackson passed away in 2019 at 95. π«‘ πΊπΈ β₯οΈ
