Yes on the first part. A short term net figure can be real without overturning the longer trend. I’m not arguing that cases of racial bias are ok, as they are wrong regardless of who is affected.
Yes whites numbers have remained steady. You answered your own question and proved the point at the same time. That’s with a decrease of 4%-5% of the overall white population over the last decade.
You are introducing that on your own and changing the subject to something unrelated and something I don’t fundamentally believe in. The original claim, is whites and in particular white men are being systematically excluded and discriminated against in the labor market at scale. That would involve percentage change over time even since the article was published in 2021, bureau of labor statistics data does not show the expected decline of something at that scale.
You can look at Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Overall White employment has remained steady over the past decade and accounts for just over 75% of employed workers. White men remain the largest single racial/sex group, with absolute employment levels that have also stayed steady over the decade. If a systematic program targeting Whites and White men at scale were happening, their absolute numbers would show sustained decline and under representation relative to population share. Young white men that are employed have also remained steady over the past decade with the normal year to year fluctuation.
You are making generalizations that simply aren’t true. It’s not clear as day, you just simply want something to be worked up about.
Aggregate data does not prove every hire was made on merit nor does it prove the reverse. It is to test the claim that one group is being excluded at scale. If one group was being excluded at scale, for years it would show in the aggregate data. Not anywhere in here have I claimed whites and their positions held are wrong, quite the opposite actually, positions should be earned, meritocracy is the best way regardless of background.

The result: more confidence at distance and more hits when it mattered.
