Been seeing a lot of people repping their 6529 io profiles. Let's do it

I've been quietly frustrated with crypto for a while. Some of it leaks out on the timeline. Most of it happens in group chats with friends, where I keep trying to name a product category I can feel but can't quite articulate.
Here's my best shot: NFTs can be durable digital toys.
Think about the toys you had as a kid. If it was in your drawer, you could come back 20 years later and, as long as nobody threw it out, it was still there, exactly how you left it.
Digital things don't work like that. The company goes out of business or gets acquired, the servers shut off, and your stuff is just gone. And more and more of our lives are digital.
So what makes a digital toy durable?
It's yours. Provably, verifiably yours. Not "yours until the terms of service change." You should be able to come back years later, read the chain, and pick up right where you left off. The actual data, same as it was before.
It's expandable. As a kid, you'd grab two sets of toys and imagine what they could do together. You'd race your cars down a ramp you built out of blocks. They were sold separately, by different companies, but in your room you played exactly how you liked.
Onchain toys work the same way. You don't need my permission to build on what I made. If you want to use it in a way I never would, just ask your favorite coding agent to build the thing you always wished existed! No need to wait on me.
Rare means rare. When something might carry real value, you need honest bookkeeping. If we release 100 of something and rescind ownership of the contract, we cryptographically cannot make more. Anyone can check. No mystery pack odds. No quietly printing extras.
Here's the thing, though. Nobody wants to buy a "verifiable toy." That's not fun. The blockchain can be the source of truth. It's there if you want it even if most people will never look at it. The toy is the point.
That's what we're building with Chonks.
Your Chonk is yours. It doesn't depend on us at all. Its traits and history live on-chain, so if you come back in ten years, it's right where you left it.
It's expandable: anyone can plug their Chonk (or anyone else’s) into a game, a comic, or some weird tool we never imagined, no permission needed.
And when we drop a trait collection, the number we say is the number that exists. Forever.
We spent years treating this stuff like it was only about pictures and floor prices. I think what comes next is a lot more fun.
Durable digital toys: digital toys that are actually yours.

For anyone getting into biology, please consider taking airborne disease resistance more seriously.
It's a super important area of medicine that is a huge cause of death and sickness but easily gets forgotten. We're likely to get many more airborne plagues in the future due to the combination of not just extremely dense and interconnected society (including city and farm animals), but also accidents from bio research and offensive biotech (both from random people and from secret government programs that can easily get themselves exempted from safety restrictions), all enhanced by powerful AI.
Right now, this area is getting way less love than longevity research (which continues to be super important!), but it's an area where there are lots of unclaimed wins that we know exactly how to do (but are not yet doing) with present-day tech:
* early detection
* passive universal testing
* filtration/ventilation/UVC
* better vaccines (including making them open source and open science)
* cryptography to make all of the above privacy-preserving
We can have China-level pandemic resistance with Sweden-level limited intrusion into people's lives, and then go even further. We just have to actually do the work for it.

When 6529 is the third most decentralized crypto project ON EARTH, I may mention it in passing, at a party, if the mood strikes, once.

Brazil is the greatest bulwark against fascism in the world today. Exclusively thanks to its people. We've fought so hard to hold onto democracy in this country, clinging to it by our fingernails. I'm dazzled. I don't know how we did it, but we did.

To describe 6529 as an art contest, a group of voters deciding which artists deserve recognition, is to intentionally misapprehend everything. The votes, the fees, and the funding arrangements are design choices. We should examine and improve them according to how well they serve what is being built. We will not, however, cower to carnival barkers.

My personal experience in the 6529 ecosystem has been positive, since I joined in July 2025. I entered to inspect the ecosystem a bit reluctantly and was pretty surprised, tbh.
Found a place less toxic than X, where I daily chat with other artists, sometimes about art, sometimes about life. Very mIRC vibes from 1999, for the older people here :)
I created my own chat room where I can share my art in a more laser-focused manner than on X. It allows for discussion and why not, a mini fan base of collectors joining: exposure, what every artist needs.
I have never felt used as an artist, as the income I got from becoming a meme artist I could have never made on SR (who can sell a 1/1 at 3 eth? not me), even getting 85% vs 50% split, math doesn’t lie. The platform gave me exposure to new collectors and interesting conversations that happened after my meme card mint, which almost never got on X. I found genuine interest towards me.
Is it a perfect ecosystem? No. Nothing in life is. But the ideas and movements happening daily there are more sexy and driving than the key warriors on X. I found a lot of passion for decentralisation, networks, and future states. It has a geek component I connect to, and other geeks expose me to new tech, which even feeds or inspires me professionally.
I never thought I could aspire to become a meme artist, as I am not very popular, but my art was seen, valued and collectively voted (again, to my big surprise!), while I am/was buried by the algo on X.
Some of the questioning might be understandable, but very often the questioning comes from outsiders that they didn’t do enough deep dive to have an objective experience before judging. Get in, observe, decide, raise the hand, provoke changes!
I professionally work as a design researcher. I fall in love with the right problems, to find the right solutions. That drove my curiosity to join 6529, and I prefer to build from the inside than criticise from the outside. Who doesn’t, at the end of the day?
Hope to build bridges with this post, as nothing is white or black in life.
Be curious.
Marfa Airplane Thoughts:
I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting artists over the last four years since joining the space.
Zero percent chance I would have done that if it wasn’t for 6529 network and the likeminded people that are constantly discussing art and our deep belief in the success of NFTs.
Collect what you want, where you want, and how you want. Freedom to Transact.
However, we should be constantly thinking about how to move from PvP to P^P. Celebrate those that are still building, still creating, still collecting.
If you don’t like an approach, then you certainly don’t have to participate. However, if you care about the success of the space and you care about its future… please critique with the intent of helping the builders make things better.
I am very proud of all of those that continue to build our collective future and those that work to understand and make things better.
We are going to make it because of exactly this. Drown out the noise, keep bettering yourself/the space and we will attract more amazing people to join this movement.
Anyways catch yall in Marfa! Can’t wait to meet even more remarkable people.

Decentralized Autonomous Networks 🫡
1/ On Squiggle #6529
I would like to explain why we are excited about “buying a Squiggle”
While Squiggles are, in fact, sweet, the exciting part is that every part of this process happened in a decentralized manner.
2/ @aRegularDad proposed a Meme Card to fund a Squiggle acquisition.
81 profiles participated in the Main Stage vote and voted with TDH to mint this as a Meme Card
The card won. 77 paid editions were minted, providing 2.51 ETH for the acquisition.
3/ @cheesebiz and @bankons helped scout and connected @squiggleDAO . SquiggleDAO suggested trying to acquire Squiggle 6529
The price was 3.01 ETH, so @MadaCollects who had been following the discussion, chipped in another 0.5 ETH to the pool (respect!)
4/ The seller wanted to stay anonymous, preserve the provenance (no intermediary transfers) and keep their vault secure.
Ultimately, the seller trusted SquiggleDAO and 6529 network and sent the Squiggle directly to the 6529 Network Museum before receiving payment.
5/ Reminder: What is the 6529 network museum? It is a SAFE vault organized by TDH, owned by the network, a cultural asset, NFTs go in, but ~they do not go out.
It is the network-native concept of a national public museum
6/ Finally, one more step to replace the temporary art on the card with something appropriate for the long-term. Well, another TDH vote of course.
@ricardotakamura won with THE VAULT, a long-exposure light painting made at Casa NUA in Brazil.
7/ So to recap:
- Decentralized network mints a meme card to buy a squiggle
- Decentralized network picks which squiggle to buy
- Decentralized network updates the art
- Decentralized network permanent home for the squiggle
8/ What was my contribution to any step of this project?
Nothing at all. I was not involved at all in any way.
I had a vague awareness that it was happening, but was not following any of the details, let alone helping.
9/ Now, some of you are thinking “ok, fine, that is cute, the NFT nerds are collecting NFTs again”
Maybe.
Or maybe collecting NFTs is a generalizable proof of concept, and there is no actual limit to this primitive.
We will see soon enough.
10/ Thank you to all who organized, the voters and everyone who minted.
Great job by all.

I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

In 6529, the “gatekeepers” are the community of holders who minted or bought cards, along with winning artists who received them for free.
Decentralization isn’t about giving everyone a vote. It’s about fair rules that apply equally to everyone, with no central authority enjoying special privileges. Equal opportunity, not equal outcome. This is exactly how I would describe Bitcoin as well.
6529 isn’t a communist society built to support artists. It’s a network state designed to grow itself while funding public goods, including art, software, science, research, etc.
The tech stack includes its own censorship-resistant coordination app, a novel decentralized decision network, and a growing set of smart contracts, including new ones designed to increase artist revenue.
The goal is to be the third most decentralized chain at the launch of the network by independent validator count (coming soon!!). This is a beautiful ambition which should be supported not torn down.
IMHO, 6529 has delivered more value to more artists than any other platform. Yes, the network takes 50% to fund its own growth, but it has no VCs or special insiders to fund it. The Memes is the only funding mechanism for the network state and mints are open to anyone with an internet connection.
Also, once the chain is live next year, the broad community of aligned TDH holders who have participated in the open minting process or artists who have won submissions will control that treasury together.
I look forward to valid criticisms of the network state from people looking to improve the project. To criticize you must first understand. I see a lot of the criticism. Very little understanding.
I’m sure we will see many good ideas from community members, artists and builders as the project grows.
Also, gmarfa

Update: After 48 months, I continue seizing and still have a full set of The Memes. It remains my guiding light in web3.
Life long friendships and a mission worth fighting for. The future is now and I couldn't be more excited.
1) After 8 months of seizing, I finally accomplished my most significant goal in NFTs. Anyone that knows me, knows that the Memes by @punk6529 have been my guiding light in web3.
A perfect combination of meaning and art, the memes represent everything I love about this space.
