HILARIOUS: Justine Bateman BLASTS filmmakers for making AWFUL films because they’re catering to the WOKE MOB, dropping an amazing example: “Film festivals have done this too, where they'll take a film that is where the filmmaker is a one-legged albino from Alaska with two g*y mommies, and that checks those boxes, but the film's not very good.”

Never take a call from your credit card company or from your bank. Always assume it’s fraud.
Instead, hang up and call the number on the back of your cc or ATM card and ask if they were trying to get a hold of you. Perhaps they were, but the difference is that now you know you’re talking to the real companies.

I think Bill Hicks was right when he said that celebrities who do commercials should be "off the artistic roll call forever" - and back then he was only talking about Jay Leno shilling for Doritos, not every modern celeb promoting the Life-Ruining App

Shane Gillis and Danny McBride play feuding weathermen in a new four-minute Kalshi ad.
“In the past year I’ve made some questionable trades on contracts for local weather, Costco hot dog prices and cricket,” McBride said in a statement. “Working with Kalshi to make this very unique ad was a great way to both make amends on some of my questionable predictions, but also get to work with Shane, and reunite with my good pal, Deep Roy.”

normal thing to say after declining multiple projects to sign onto the Marvel slop machine
"Obsession" star Inde Navarrette says Gen Z moviegoers do not want corporate slop in movies:
“Gen Z just wants to go to something that they don’t feel like they’re being sold. Maybe we are tired constantly of having ads in movies or production placement and all of these things. We understand it’s fundamental. We grew up with commercials that are fun that we still quote like State Farm and Aflac. It’s kind of fun. But we don’t want to be sold. We want original stories. Just because we’re living in the time of technology doesn’t mean we’re not living a human life or feel human experiences. We went originality and we want to feel.” (via The Kyle Buchanan Show)

Sacha Baron Cohen's career aligns with the decline of Hollywood. What started as fresh biting comedy - guerrilla street bits, pranks & improv - tapped into the zeitgeist by making fun of powerful figures, then calcified into a DC universe of shtick so recycled it became the joke.
Sacha Baron Cohen defends reviving his “problematic” Ali G character after more than a decade:
“The fact that Ali G is outdated and problematic is the very reason I resurrected him. The world he’s returned to is, in many ways, worse than the one he left 20 years ago. All the prejudices my characters are designed to expose haven’t just lingered—they’ve metastasized. They’re fueled by the greatest propaganda machine in history—social media—and now by its monstrous child, AI.”

Unfortunately, this is necessary now because a generation of selfish people decided it was good practice to book five reservations, show up to one, and ghost the restaurants on the others.
It's net-neutral anyway since the money gets refunded or credited against your meal.

There’s a simple step Scott can take. He should tell the @united board to cut his $34 million salary to $30,000 and voluntarily mail the rest of it to the federal government.
Whenever someone recommends socialism, they should agree to go first.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby wants to show customers in seat 34B he feels their pain by endorsing a national wealth tax. Such virtue-signaling is cheaper than complimentary pretzels.

These Sydney Sweeney commercials during the baseball playoffs are getting out of control.
Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB? My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked women could come on screen anytime?? This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this.
Sometimes a good compliment can do wonders for the soul.

Michael Douglas: “The disparity of wealth is very very depressing”
Joe Rogan: “It’s certainly frustrating that more people don’t have an opportunity to do better in this life and that no one’s paying attention to that. If you look at the country as a community, you would say okay if this is all our friends, why are so many of them living in abject poverty for decades upon decades? Why is there crime-ridden neighborhoods that never get better? They’ve been ignored. We could throw resources at fixing these spots and we don’t”

Anyway, here's a pre-woke Kathy Griffin talking about the Muslim culture:

The most fun aspect of seeing Shane in the news is wondering “which unbearable, absolute loser open mic-ers who never achieve any degree of progress in comedy are gonna come out of the woodwork to dunk on him today?”
When they emerge, you think, “oh man I completely forget about them. What are they up to?” You check out their profiles and notice, across the board, it’s any combination of zero creative projects, begging for money, screaming about politics, asking if anybody has spare cat food to lend, and above all else, just emptiness.
Is Shane really the issue or are you just pushing 40 with nothing?

Solidarity means centering yourself in other people’s trauma, in front of a camera, with good lighting.
I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore. Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me.
The “joke” was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is. So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11 takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link. My caption: “I’m literally shaking.”
Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, “Does this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?” I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow. Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists.
