Today marks 25 years since UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace & Security - the first international recognition of women’s essential roles in conflict prevention, peacebuilding & recovery. @OurSecureFuture advances 1325 through action, impact & accountability. 🌍

This October marks 25 years of UN Security Council Resolution 1325, highlighting the four pillars of Women, Peace & Security: Participation, Protection, Prevention, and Relief & Recovery. These pillars remain an important framework for the implementation of WPS globally.

This month marks 25 years of UNSCR 1325 🌍 Adopted in Oct 2000, it recognized the impact of conflict on women and called for their meaningful participation in peace and security efforts. Today, it is still a cornerstone of the WPS agenda.

@OurSecureFuture and @UN_Women were honored to host members of the Bolivian government at the WPS National Action Plan Academy in Panama City in June 2025. We look forward to continuing to support Bolivia’s leadership on advancing the WPS agenda.
