I find this behaviour from a sitting Canadian Member of Parliament deeply disturbing.
Since when has it become acceptable for an elected official to publicly disrespect another official, even apparently mocking his surname?
This is not the Canadian standard of dignity, respect and professionalism I grew up believing in.
What kind of mentality allows someone entrusted with public office to behave this way?
I am calling for a formal review of this conduct and appropriate consequences. Public office demands accountability.

And your claim about Greece?
Athens opened its official mosque in 2020. Thessaloniki’s historic Yeni Cami hosted Muslim prayers in 2024.
