Today Tesla FSD unequivocally saved me and my fiancée from a major collision or worse.
Green arrow to turn left and FSD starts to go then suddenly stops, I'm thinking why did you stop I hit the accelerator pedal, it breaks again at the same time a SUV barrels through the intersection running a red light.
From my view In the car I never saw the vehicle. Had I been in any other vehicle and pressed the accelerator I have no doubt I would have been T- boned in my driver side door.
This happens everyday and lives are lost. This technology saves lives. Thank you @Tesla and @teslasi for keeping us safe anywhere we go.
2026 Model Y AWD on V14.3.6
I will sit and edit videos that I believe are good and then just never release them. I have many, like dozens. Maybe I just need to stop overthinking it. If they’re bad, I will just learn from it, if they’re good maybe more people will tune in.
Onward and upward
Some people are simply not understanding the math. I broke it down and shared it. They are 20% WoW growth in miles. That is 16M miles by the end of the year.
THAT IS NOT SLOW! The original guideline was 10% WoW which should be 1.8M miles.
Tesla did 3.1M. On top of that they did 1.2M of those mikes in 3 WEEKS!
And they have ported it to other cities. Did anyone listen to want Ashok said or are they just pretending to choose not to believe what is happening here.
Mike has a point here, and the trauma from the 2024 Q4 call is real.
Tesla has to find a way to gain back our trust. It is so damaging that even when what they say is not bullshit, like the verifiable Robotaxi ramp, totally in line with what Ashok was saying in July, this does not have an impact because trust is lost. I am 100% sure Robotaxi is now scaling, I am confident because I see it happening in reality. But most people don't even see that because the lack of trust is so deep that even facts cannot convince them anymore.
What would go a long way is some explanation on why they were so bullish on this 2024 Q4 call, what changed and why. Which technical problem was encountered that was unexpected and delayed Robotaxi? We can understand this, if we get an explanation. Same for Optimus, they decided to go to v3, it delayed everything, but why exactly?
Starlink is going to steal a ton of market share from the legacy cellular dinosaurs.
I have bad news for AT&T, you’re not the disrupter. And in ~12 months when Starlink Mobile really starts to kick off you would be wise to not talk trash.
Starlink will offer high speed internet service inside your home but also on the top of a mountain or traveling on a country road with no service. This is something the phone carriers know they simply can’t compete with.
SpaceX has just officially received FCC approval to acquire three additional spectrum licenses from Tristar to expand its upcoming next-gen @Starlink Mobile network.
The licenses cover 15 MHz of spectrum in the 1695–1710 MHz band.
The FCC also granted waivers allowing SpaceX to use the spectrum for satellite communications instead of building traditional cell towers.
This approval comes just two weeks after SpaceX announced an agreement to acquire nationwide 800 MHz low-band spectrum to improve indoor coverage and outlined plans to combine its satellite constellation with terrestrial infrastructure.
Starlink Mobile will become the first network operator to deploy both satellite and terrestrial spectrum: "One network that provides Americans with a reliable service indoors, outdoors, in cellular dead zones, and everywhere in between."
Ohh we’re hitting 1k in Texas before the end of October 🤠

Tesla IS COOKING 🧑🍳
Wow Robotaxi Enroll for your vehicle!
The app can now target a specific vehicle for Robotaxi enrollment (api/1/vehicles/{vin}/robotaxi_enroll). This is per-VIN, so if you own multiple Teslas you can choose which ones join the fleet.
Version 26.10.0 of the Robotaxi app has been de-compiled and this is a juicy one....(xitter.cf/Tesla_App_iOS/status/2…)
- Augmented Reality “Find My Car” with directional guidance
- In-app incident reporting
- Full rear-seat & climate controls from the phone
- Shared trip tracker and media queues
- Fixed-route shuttle support (Palo Alto campus pins)
Onto the Tesla de-compile now, thanks for your patience for this one, this was a big update to look through!
Elon's opening on the Terafab:
Seeing the fab taking shape and making chips is going to be alot of fun to see
"Regarding the Terafab, the Austin-based research fab is progressing quickly. We'll begin commissioning machinery in the first half of next year. And hopefully things go well, we'll make our first test chip just to see if we can make any chip at all around May or June. So that's pretty exciting. And then our aspiration is to be making some kind of useful chip at volume around Q3 of 2028."
Some of what I’m hearing on the TL:
Tesla: We have scaled the robotaxi service 8X
Retail investor: What? that’s not good enough!
Ashok's full answer on scaling Robotaxi to other cities:
The TLDR is Tesla doesn’t see any technical hurdles and any hurdle would be regulatory in Q1 or Q2 next year. Meaning if regulatory allows they will scale as much as they can.
"I think there are still certain software challenges which we are still working through. For example, we [initially started] the Robotaxi service from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and then we expanded to 10 p.m.
Now it's going to be pretty soon [2] a.m. So we are slowly expanding the availability of Robotaxi and that is driven by the capability of the software. And we just want to make sure that there's not a single safety incident. That is our operating principle. And even if there's the slightest possible risk at all, we don't like take on the risk. And so we are very risk [averse] in that sense as in we want zero injuries or anything bad happening. And that is the driving principle.
And we will see that over the rest of this year, we will unlock 24 x 7 operation, go to higher speed roads. And we think all of that is necessary to sort of scale and offer a great product to a lot of users. And that's why we wanted to both do the breadth first of doing multiple cities. We did six cities now. We are also doing the depth of like having a lot of vehicles in a single city, which is in Austin. And we'll expand to more day and night conditions, highways and high speeds, and all of that will be done hopefully by the end of this year, at which point you will see a lot more scaling of cities being covered by Robotaxi. So it's not purely regulatory or something like that, it is technology driven, but we do see that [it will] pretty quickly become a regulatory [issue] perhaps in Q1, Q2 timeframes."

Replying to @tomwookieford
@tomwookieford - we don’t show things that we can’t do in production. The cold gas system can produce over 80kN of force. If everything weighs even a ridiculously high 2500 kg with the mass of gas plus the thruster system, the lift from the thrusters is >3x the mass of the vehicle. When you have more lift than mass, you can get off the ground, when it’s that much more over time you have spare air to flip and manuever - simple math really….
Tesla Robotaxi is going to start running until 2am and then 24/7 along with highway coming soon according to @aelluswamy
THIS IS A HUGE UNLOCK!
Tesla wants to Deliver Cybercabs to customers by EOY... That is an interesting and idk if they will pull it off BUT MKBHD might want to get that shaver out and keep it close by!
Tesla is adding Model Y's to the Robotaxi fleet while we are on the earnings call.
8 new added today so far!
🚗 Tesla Robotaxi just registered 8 new 2026 Model Ys with the Texas DMV — now 462 Model Ys in its 811-vehicle TX fleet. fsddb.com/robotaxi?operator=…
TESLA IS BUILDING THIER OWN MAPS!!!!!
@aelluswamy "It's only right that we shouldn't be depending on external people's maps. So we are building our own maps, but not like the same way as [unclear, transcript says 'one more'] maps. We are building an entire new architecture with essentially [AI]-based mapping and navigation. It's going to be super awesome. It's going to be integrated with voice. You can talk to it [and ask] for different routes. It's going to learn your personalized preferences, plus also the [fleet] preferences. The collective intelligence of all the cars are going to flow into making the maps and navigation be super cool. You'll see the start and end of trips already use this technology pretty soon as part of the V15 release. Over the next several months, it's just going to take over all of the navigation functions, parking, destination handling. We'll know you better than you know yourself in some regard for the driving task. [It]'ll handle it fully."
