The Farmland Preservation Program has added 1,999 acres to the existing 603,646 acres currently secured for future generations.
The Raymond Abel's farm, a 52-acre crop operation, received an investment of $171,252.10 from the state and $52,400 from the county. Congratulations👏

Turner Dairy Farms is the first in #Pennsylvania to take advantage of a recent law allowing "open coding” for milk. It allows producers to extend the shelf life of their product if its stability can be verified through third-party testing.

My legislation, Act 62, was signed into law yesterday. This bill updates the “sell by” and “best by” date labeling for pasteurized milk. Milk processors can now use a science based "open code" format to label their product, allowing PA farmers to be more competitive. More:
