Finland, the reigning world champion, has announced that it will refuse to play against Russia at the Ice Hockey World Championships as long as Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues. Finland is now working with other Nordic and major European hockey nations to form a united boycott front. If enough countries join, holding the tournament with Russia participating could become impossible.
