खादी और स्थानीय उत्पादों की बढ़ती लोकप्रियता का उल्लेख करते हुए माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी ने ‘मन की बात’ कार्यक्रम में बताया कि गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर खादी ग्रामोद्योग के उत्पादों की बिक्री ने नया मुकाम हासिल किया।
उन्होंने साझा किया कि इस वर्ष गांधी जयंती पर केवल एक दिन में खादी ग्रामोद्योग के उत्पादों की बिक्री 28 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक रही, जो पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में लगभग डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये ज्यादा है। खादी के प्रति लोगों का बढ़ता रुझान न केवल स्वदेशी को प्रोत्साहन दे रहा है, बल्कि उन कारीगरों और शिल्पकारों की मेहनत को भी सम्मान दिला रहा है, जिनके हुनर से ये उत्पाद तैयार होते हैं।
