Bangladesh is richer than Pakistan. Its per capita is significantly more than Pakistan. Their economic indicators are far superior than us. Yet the Bangladesh PM travels in a commercial flight going to same place New York where our PM has gone in a private plane including a 3 day stopover for private reasons in London. Our money being spent on ayashi by our rulers

The PIMS fire shows why safety standards matter. They aren't paperwork. They are engineering barriers designed to stop one failure becoming a disaster.
We need to adopt them rather than talking about removing person and some pain points for some time.

🇵🇰 Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed criticized Pakistan’s military “dictatorship” Sunday, saying “democracy is not being allowed to take its place.”
Speaking at the Pakistan Association of America’s annual gathering in metro Detroit, El-Sayed condemned the imprisonment and intimidation of political leaders, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and called for human rights and democratic governance.
El-Sayed drew a parallel to Egypt, where his parents immigrated from, citing its history of military dictatorship and arguing that neither government should be shielded from criticism, or receive US aid, simply because they are U.S. allies.

No other investment could be so rewarding: Top Pakistani bureaucrats invested 2-day salary (Rs15,000-30,000) into PM Austerity Fund in April and got within two months guaranteed Rs100,000-150,000 per month for ever.
PM Shehbaz is so generous while spending out of public money and keeps increasing petrolum levy and POL prices

I’m amazed at Pakistani media channels. The economy is in its worst state with so much unemployment, poverty, inflation, lack of investment, falling exports. In addition Balochistan & Kp are facing the most serious terrorist activities while Azad Kashmir is in turmoil.
But check our tv channels - almost exclusively talking about foreign policy as if our citizens are having the best time of their lives & there is nothing to discuss or debate.
Precisely for this reason social media is so much watched and read.

Typical Pakistani mentality. Always praising govt for acting like EDHI or CHIPA & giving everything free to awam. Free Wifi, free lunches for schools etc. That's not the govt's job!
If govt was really doing a good job, awam wouldn't need any 'free' thing from govt

If you want to see why Pakistan's economy never reaches its potential, look at KPEC. Pakistan is taking millions of dollars in loans to build KPEC corridor whose entire purpose is trade with Afghanistan and Central Asia. At the same time trade with Afghanistan is shut down. It's hard to come up with a better example of how disconnected Pakistan's policymakers are from basic economic logic. What is the point of building a trade corridor if you're blocking the trade it was built for?

I am an Inspector with four years of service, but my salary is still less than 100k. On the other hand, there are inspectors, such as FIA inspectors, who earn more than Rs. 200k in addition to other perks and privileges. There is huge wage differences among different departments.
