Stephen Miller’s role in Trump’s immigration crackdown has drawn far more attention, but he has also been a key architect and driving force behind Trump’s increasingly aggressive use of military force in Latin America. Latin American officials are watching his elevation to chief of staff veeery closely
Stephen Miller pushed for Trump's lethal strikes on civilian boats, which many legal experts say are extrajudicial killings. Here's a gift link to our @nytimes investigation on how Miller and Rubio's actions led to the strikes and the attack on Venezuela: nytimes.com/2025/12/27/us/po…

We already know the Michelin Guide charges Florida’s tourism agencies more than $3 million to include Florida restaurants in its guides. Now we know what it charges simply to put on the event to announce those new restaurants. I posted the contract: carlosfrias.com/blog/f/why-m…

Something no one caught: @RobertGarcia described investigating DHS and ICE abuses as a 4th priority, then 3rd, then 2nd right after the election behind Trump fam corruption Its rising priority speaks to palpable anger in the Latino electorate, which swung hard against GOP Tues👇🏽

Finally... someone who can articulate in a succinct, accessible way why foreign aid is good not just for the world but for America-- esp when it's done efficiently. America's interests are best served when upholding its values, which are universal, including basic humanity
My vision for diplomacy and USAID.

Rider: Opens iPhone Settings and turns off Precise Location for Uber. Drops the pickup pin two blocks off the main street and walks to that corner. Force closes Uber and opens Lyft for 2 minutes. 9:17 PM...

Excellent point. Sadly, there are still too many states that need more investment in a dominant statewide local news source (ie FL, LA, KY etc). Lacking a drumbeat of accountability reporting and shared information sources, politics gets nationalized and polarization increases.
I'm a local reporter in Texas. If you’re trying to understand the paradigm shift here or the history unfolding in Mississippi, you need to be following these local news orgs. (1/5)

The number one issue that drove Latinos to vote Democratic this year — apparently a key reason that Texas went blue — was Trump’s mass deportation policies. Thus, it’s interesting to see the demand on the right for doubling down on this strategy.
Time to ramp up the deportations.

It's important to remember that Stephen Miller's work is not merely about immigration, per se. It's about redefining who counts as American. This has implications well beyond immigration policy. nytimes.com/2026/02/06/magaz…

As a teacher in both Florida and New York I have to agree with DeSantis here. We’re not getting 2x the services, we’re getting 10x up here. Florida public services suck lmao pay your taxes and fund schools
Gov. Ron DeSantis: "My budget's $117 billion. New York State's budget's $268 billion. That's more than twice the budget. Obviously, they have heavy taxes. The question is, are you getting twice the services living in New York?"

This means the only woman in the West Wing is … Ms. Natalie Harp.
MacFarlane on Stephen Miller: This seems to be a symmetrical political response that they're going to be defiant of congress. Not a surprise that the biggest removal post-election is another woman from the cabinet. It's been a pattern of trump 2.0. The people who tend to get fired or moved out are the women in powerful positions. This is another example of it.
