Kuro no Ken: Blade of the Darkness, a Japan-only PS1 RPG, is now in English.

大名作『アーケード版 グラディウスIII』を、あの「メガドライブ」に勝手移植するプロジェクトが登場!!
こちらは作品は、全12ステージのうち、すでに10ステージまで実装済みとの事。
オリジナルのアーケード版は2基のCPUを搭載しながらも処理落ちが激しかったタイトルだが、それをメガドライブでどこまで再現できるのか…という部分も再現しようとしているのが、かなりナウい!!
ともあれ、「メカドライブに不可能な事なんてないのでは?」 と思う、今日この頃だッッ!!

Nice platform game, unreleased. According to coder Stéphane Belin, it was inexplicably cancelled before the release date when it was nearly complete. It's great and plays like Magic Pockets, but much better IMHO.
