Women from Afribit Kibera in Kenya upcycle old clothes and pay and get paid in Bitcoin. They teach neighbours door to door and help teen mothers without bank access save for their children. This is a circular economy built on education.

We are a donation-driven nonprofit, so transparency about funding is not optional, it is the model.
As of this snapshot: 2026 is 52% funded, with $545K secured against a $1.05M plan. That leaves 4.6 months of runway, and $500K still needed to carry us through the rest of the year.
Where it comes from: Start Small ($500K), @paystand ($25K), grassroots donors ($19K), and ticket sales ($1K).
Where it goes: 88% ($918K) directly into programs, curriculum, educator training, Unconferences, translations, and the network itself. The remaining 12% ($128K) covers admin.

Why does that matter?
Because education should empower people to think for themselves — not serve the interests of whoever pays for it. We teach people how to think, not what to think.
