Why did yet another ignorant ill-informed reactionary AGW Denialist swallow yet more unsientific propaganda?
It's farcical AGW Denialist propaganda in @australian from unqualified Graham Lloyd reporting more farcical nonsense from another reactionary ideologue, Tom Berger.
umm i don't wish to be rude, but you're dummer than a rock! 🪨

When will they learn-
The environment is the foundation upon which economies build.
De-stabilise the foundation & the building falls!
The Tory party goes full-on climate denier and nature hater
Pure lunacy

Australia's true "normal" immigration level below 100Kpa. Guided us manageably to 20 million
At 20 million, for many social, environmental & economic reasons Australia should've cut immigration & stabilised our population-
But instead our pollies bowed to big business greed.
Australia’s NOM had never hit 200,000 annually before mass immigration commenced after 2005. The “normal” historical level is actually around 100,000.
What's the fuss, @ACCINews?

Oh, woe is me, I'm about to get blocked by a professional liar. What, oh what, am I going to do?
Oh, wait, I know. I'm about to go back to teaching actual science. And I just got one more example for my upcoming course on how to recognize anti-science grifters.

Hi 👋 I'm a climate scientist and notorious troll blocker. And whenever extreme heat hits, the same comments show up:
“It’s just summer.”
“It’s been hotter before.”
“Just tough it out.”
In this episode of Cold Facts, Hot Takes, I take on the myths and explain what the science actually says about today’s heat waves.

Suaalii’s yellow hinges on one question: was he actually offside? If yes, the card can be justified; if another Wallaby was offside, the card was wrongly issued to Suaalii. The communication problems make the player identification particularly important.

I still can't believe school never taught us anything about mortgages, credit scores, savings, taxes, or how politics actually impacts our lives. No proper lessons on budgeting, rent, interest, or how to avoid drowning in debt once you reach adulthood. But somehow we had time to learn cursive handwriting, complicated algebra we've never used since, the cells of a leaf, Venn diagrams, and how to set magnesium on fire with a Bunsen burner. Funny how school prepared us for exams, but barely prepared us for real life.

"Population growth, environment & Australia’s economy"
Mark Diesendorf: Pearls and Irritations, 14/9/26
Australia’s population debate cannot be separated from environmental decline, inequality & economic wellbeing. With continued growth adding pressure, zero population growth deserves a serious place in the national conversation.
Human civilisation faces existential threats from environmental impacts. Seven out of nine safe planetary boundaries have been exceeded. These are climate change, biodiversity, freshwater, land use, biogeochemical flows, ocean acidification, and novel entities (i.e., chemicals, plastics, etc.).
The state and trend of Australia’s environment are poor and deteriorating. Local environmental impacts come from global impacts, together with increased local land clearing for housing and roads, pollution, resource extraction, and invasive species.

The White House plans to amend the National Climate Assessment to question RCP8.5. This is based on a poor understanding of both climate science and risk management.

What are the national and global environmental impacts of Australia’s population growth?
What are the economic costs and benefits, as well as social impacts in terms of provision of housing, health, education & infrastructure, what fractions of permanent immigration should be allocated to humanitarian, family reunion, & skills, what conditions should be placed on temporary immigrants regarding possible future transfer to permanent status?

Yes, including mass extinctions, and 150m higher sea level, but for millions of yrs CO2 hasnt been as high as it is now. The cause of recent warming is CO2 and other GHG's from fossil fuel emissions plus a bit of land use change.

It is quite frankly astonishing that Andrew Leigh can state that “the job of a politician is to talk about facts”, before blatantly lying that “Labor has cut net overseas migration by more than 40% from its peak under the Coalition government”.
Leigh’s comment is offensive to anybody holding a PhD in economics

This is for all the human induced climate change deniers asking for proof or evidence that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas (something we have known since the 1800s). CO2 slows energy loss to space.
