It’s not that people care more about the tiger, but the tiger hasn’t done anything wrong. It was in a secure enclosure, doing what tigers do. Euthanising it would be pointless and unnecessary. There is no justice to be served in this situation, the man died due to misadventure

It’s not the punishment that’s the issue. Why are we live-streaming an execution? Here are some of the countries that publicly execute people — Iran, North Korea, and Somalia. Terrorists have televised executions. I thought the point was to establish that there was a clear difference between us and “them.” Now we’re copying off their paper. Let this sink in: The same country banning drag shows for fear of its influence on kids is now live-streaming an execution. The hypocrisy is breaking my ear drums.
