I have heard it from far better people than you and they were wrong too. What I enjoyed was seeing you running away from an argument about Brexit because you would rather talk about anything else. And I loved the smile being wiped from your face when the young woman tore apart your net zero BS. You’ve not nice suits and nice shoes but you’ve got more chance captaining the Sri Lankan cricket team than you have of becoming Home Secretary.
Alastair Campbell did not appear to enjoy being called a war criminal to his face: The truth hurts.

“The poppy isn’t political!” declares a man addressing a political protest, surrounded by flags. Perhaps the irony is lost on him. The poppy commemorates sacrifice. It shouldn’t be turned into a test of who’s the biggest patriot. When did remembrance become a competition?

🚨 KING CHARLES IS HEADING TO ANTIGUA. STRAY DOGS ARE BEING REMOVED AHEAD OF HIS VISIT. The government has given us assurances of humane treatment, but no clear information about where the dogs are being taken or what happens next. Look out for calls to action in the morning ✅

🚨🇬🇧 They say, “Tommy was protecting his family.” “They did it to him first.” Two excuses. A jury heard and rejected both. The Mail wrote about a public figure on holiday. Tommy hired private investigators to photograph journalists’ homes, then told a million followers “I will find you.” That isn’t the same thing. And it isn’t protection. Here’s what the jury actually heard. What happened In August 2024, while England was rioting, Robinson was on holiday in Cyprus, posting about the riots to his followers. The Mail found him there and ran a story: “Stoking riots from his sunbed.” Over the next three days he went after the two reporters, Jacob Dirnhuber and Andrew Young. 🔺5 August: a direct message to Dirnhuber. “I’ll be knocking at your door.” 🔺5 August: a phone call to Young. Robinson told him he’d be coming to his home and that he’d “have to move house.” 🔺6 August: a post naming Dirnhuber, saying he and the other Mail journalists had “today been located.” 🔺7 August: a video to around a million followers. He said he had details of where they and their families lived. He told them to abide by “men’s rules.” Then: “The men, on the other hand, I will find you.” He also hired private investigators to photograph their homes. He admitted it in court. The result: Dirnhuber moved house. Young was given a close protection officer. The law The charge was harassment causing fear of violence. The prosecution had to prove a course of conduct that made each man fear violence on at least two occasions, and that Robinson knew or ought to have known it would. That last part is an objective test. What Robinson says he meant doesn’t decide it. What decides it is what a reasonable person would expect a million followers to do with “I will find you.” His defence He said he was protecting his family. That is a real defence in law, if the conduct is reasonable for protecting someone. Police had given him four threat-to-life warnings. The jury heard all of it. Why it failed He admitted the aim was pressure. Telling a million people where journalists live doesn’t protect your children. It endangers theirs. 🔺He didn’t dispute that they were frightened. Asked in evidence, he said no. 🔺He never complained to the press regulator. He never asked the Mail to change or remove the story. The legal route was there. He skipped it. 🔺His own words. “Men’s rules” is not the language of protection. One is journalism, however much you dislike it. The other is a threat. The jury He chose this. At the magistrates’ court he was offered a trial there. He opted for a jury instead, saying he wanted 12 members of the British public to hear the evidence. They did. They convicted on both counts. Sentencing is on 16 December.

Let’s have a Reindeer free Christmas in 2026 do not support this animal cruelty Poor body weight, weight loss, muscle atrophy and general malaise are commonly reported problems in captive reindeer. Veterinarians have consistently voiced concerns that reindeer are hard to keep in captivity, and that problems are often seen in reindeer kept in private ownership for use in entertainment. Research now provides overwhelming evidence that the pressures of regular long-distance travel, exposure to unnatural environments, physical labour such as pulling sleighs, and the lack of agency inherent in constant unfamiliar and unpredictable interactions with the public, result in reindeer used in festive entertainment being at severe risk of physical and mental stress, fatigue and associated illnesses. Many event organisers are leading the way by making the compassionate choice to not feature reindeer at their events anymore.

This death trap material should be banned from sale. Our festivities should not cause terrible harm to wildlife.
The real horror of Halloween. Artificial cobweb: a bit of fake fun for you, but a very real and terrifying death for them. If you see your neighbours using it, it's possible they don't know the danger so please print out this simple leaflet and pop it through their door: tinyurl.com/HalloweenHedgeho… The fine, strong synthetic fibres of this lethal 'web' are difficult for animals to see at dusk and can quickly wrap around their legs, wings, and neck, trapping and killing birds, insects and mammals. When Eden the hedgehog struggled to free herself the web tightened, cutting off circulation and causing deep wounds. Can you imagine the pain and sheer terror? And then seeing dawn approach, while hanging there, tightly bound and helpless, only an inch above the ground but suffering slow strangulation. Aside from being stressed, dehydrated, starving and exhausted, she also had horrific bite/peck wounds to her face, where she had been held there, helpless, unable to curl and defend herself, while a predator tried to eat her alive. Tragically her constriction injuries were too severe to survive, and poor Eden had to be put to sleep. If you have used this deadly cruel trap to 'decorate' your garden, I beg you - take it down now. Please spread this vital information, and help save lives.

Anyone defending Tommy Robinson needs to explain exactly what they think he should be allowed to get away with. A man who claims to be a great British patriot, lives in Spain and spends the majority of the year on holiday at the expense of his “donors” was sitting in a holiday resort in Cyprus while stirring up civil unrest in Britain. Journalists reported on it. That is their job. It was a legitimate national story. And because Robinson didn’t like the scrutiny, he sent private investigators after the journalists, had them tracked and photographed, exposed their home addresses and their families, and threatened to turn up at their homes, saying “I’m coming to get you”. One journalist needed personal security. Another had to remove his family from their home. If you believe that is acceptable behaviour, that a man can threaten journalists and expose their families to intimidation simply because he dislikes their reporting, then you aren’t defending free speech. You’re defending intimidation. A jury heard the evidence and convicted him. Stop pretending this was a conspiracy because you don’t like the verdict.

This handsome lad is still waiting for a new home. Can you please share? Teddy is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix - he is available and looking for a new home. He eats Ava sensitive skin and stomach mix from Pets at Home. Teddy is good in the car but only use to short journeys. He sleeps in the kitchen at night but would sometimes also sleep in his owners bed. He is registered with the vets and can be left on his own if you need to go out. Teddy is a big boy, he may knock small kids over, so he would suit a home with older dog savvy kids 10+. He loves people and is good once he gets a clap, but he is wary of men wearing hats. Teddy walks well on the lead and he use to go walking with a dog walker and was fine. Teddy loves a ball rope, he likes to chew on the rope until it's untied. He likes treats. There isn't much that Teddy doesn't like, however he doesn't like the sound of metal/shutter noise as he got a fright when he was a puppy. Teddy loves lying in bed under the covers. He would be best in a home with no other pets or cats. He isn't really fussed by other dogs when he is out walking. Teddy knows basic commands. For more information or to offer Teddy a new home please email [email protected] Sorry we are unable to accept messages to the page regarding pets for rehoming, please email the address above.

I REALLY NEED YOU TODAY. 💔 I have tried not to keep asking. I have stretched every donation, bought winter materials little by little, and kept everything moving for as long as I could. But now, we are running on almost nothing. Our medicines have been ordered — but I need to pay the bill before they are released. Our feed has been ordered — but I need to pay before it can be delivered. And winter cannot wait. The nights are already painfully cold, while some of the warm spaces we are building for our most vulnerable animals are still unfinished. It is also the end of the month. Wages and bills are due. For days, hardly anything has come in — sometimes just £5 or £10 — while hundreds of animals still depend on us every single day. I cannot stretch what simply isn’t there anymore. Please, if you have been thinking of helping TAWF, today is the day I need you. Even £5, £10 or £20 matters when enough of us come together. And if you genuinely cannot donate, please SHARE this. Our posts cannot reach the people who might help unless you carry them beyond our page. 🙏❤️ 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate ❄️ Winter Appeal: tawf.org.uk/winter-appeal-20…

Good morning from some of the happiest dogs in the world. ☀️🐾❤️ There is something magical about mornings at our sanctuary. The sun begins to rise, that beautiful golden light falls across their faces… and then they hear it. The team has arrived. Suddenly, everyone is awake. Tails are flying, paws are dancing, breakfast is coming, their people are here — and another safe day is beginning. For those few minutes, you would never know how much some of these dogs have suffered. They are simply happy. Safe. Fed. Loved. And ridiculously excited to start another day. ❤️ And there is only one reason they get to wake up feeling this way: YOU. The people who donate. The people who share. The people who keep showing up for animals they may never even meet. You turned survival into mornings like these. Good morning from your very happy TAWF family. ☀️🐾 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate Please donate and share — so another frightened street animal can one day wake up this happy too. ❤️

Thank you so much, you lovely, lovely people, for helping to spread this warning far and wide, and helping to save lives. Aren't you brilliant?😊 I'm thrilled that this topic is sparking such important conversations, and is still generating broad media coverage, with the advice being featured across various mainstream press and community networks, both here and internationally. And I'm delighted to see that instead of cherry picking a snippet, they've published my whole tweet, which is really brilliant news. I’m incredibly grateful to see it resonate so widely, and awed at the sheer amount of kind compassionate people working together to get this important message amplified. Thank you to everyone who has read and shared it! I am awed at the uptake, and so grateful for your amplification - you will have saved so many lives.💞 nitter.gq/HedgehogCabin/status/2…
Halloween artificial cobweb material: It may be a bit of fake fun for you, but it's a very real and terrifying death for them. And it's not only birds. Last year I had my first call of the season of a hedgehog trapped in this horrific fake 'cobweb', made especially for gullible halloweeners to spread over their greenery, trapping all unsuspecting birds, insects and mammals, including hedgehogs. The fine synthetic fibers are difficult for animals to see and can quickly wrap around their legs, spines, and neck, leading to severe injuries. When a hedgehog struggles to free herself the web tightens, cutting off circulation and causing deep wounds. These constriction injuries often lead to permanent damage or death. Unfortunately the call was from Manchester, so all I could do was talk them through getting the poor creature to a rescue. Clearly she had been trapped there for at least one night, and her struggles had pulled the strong nylon strands so tightly that one of her toes had been amputated. Can you imagine the pain and the sheer terror? And then seeing dawn approach, while hanging there, tightly bound and helpless. Aside from being stressed, dehydrated, starving and exhausted to the point of near death, she also had horrific bite/peck wounds to her face, where she had been held there, helpless, unable to curl and defend herself, while a predator tried to eat her alive. If you have used this deadly cruel trap to 'decorate' your garden, please take it down now. Please don't be conned by the greedy makers and sellers of this rubbish into hurting defenceless animals.

Sometimes, two broken stories find each other. ❤️ You may remember Shami. A tractor had run over her leg. She had been suffering for more than a day when two tiny boys — without even shirts on their backs — somehow brought her to our hospital for treatment. Shami was terrified of us. Every time we approached, it meant another drip, another injection, another treatment. So we treated her wounds, but we also gave her something she desperately needed — time and space to learn that she was safe. And then came Luka. A tiny donkey baby brought to us without his mother. We tried everything we could to get his mother too, but we couldn't. We bottle-fed him, surrounded him with other youngsters, gave him good food, medical care and all the love we could. But none of it could replace his mum. What we never told you was that the stress affected Luka so deeply that, within days, he began dragging one of his back legs. You were already heartbroken for him, and we couldn't bear to show you that too. Behind the scenes, we kept working with him and doing everything we could. And then something happened that we never planned. Luka found Shami. We cannot tell you that Shami sees him as her baby — we simply don't know. But Luka? Just watch him. He has become her little shadow. Wherever Shami goes, Luka is there. He follows her, stands beside her and seems to find something in her presence that all our bottles, food and human love could never quite give him. Two donkeys arrived at our sanctuary through completely different tragedies. One needed to learn that she was safe. The other desperately missed his mother. And somehow, they found each other. ❤️ Perhaps rescue cannot give them back everything that was taken from them. But sometimes, it gives them something we never could have planned. Please help us keep giving animals like Shami and Luka the time, treatment and sanctuary they need to heal. 🌐 Donate: tawf.org.uk/donate Please DONATE & SHARE their story. ❤️
