A healthy Paul George can easily be a part of a championship team as the second best player. The key word there is HEALTHY. And all superstars have games like Tatum did yesterday. Kobe did it often but his were even worse because he didn't have the assists.
Maye is going to be just fine. The hysterics around his start make me embarrassed to be a Pats fan.
FYI - After 2 weeks, #Patriots QB Drake Maye is getting dissected by nearly everyone for playing poorly. Yet out of 32 starting #NFL Quarterbacks his QBR (63.3) ranks 15th, slightly above average. He's ahead of Goff (62.9), Stafford (59.8), Love (50.3), Mayfield (45.4), Nix (40.7), Rodgers (31.2) & Herbert (28.7). Out of players who received NFL MVP votes last season, he's #1.

The single, most powerful causal influence on the religious lives of American teenagers and young adults is the religious lives of their parents. (Sociologist Christian Smith)
Two things can be true at once. 1. Yes, Enes Kanter is a troll. 2. All the WNBA needs to do to make this all go away is the common sense step of defining a woman biologically. Yet they won't so they deserve all the trolls coming their way.
Yes and no. They both needed to cut costs and get rid of Brown, making them a better team for this upcoming year than they were last year, and giving them flexibility to become a legit championship team again without Brown's high usage/inefficient play.
The left - "Why are you so obsessed with Covid and something that happened 6 years ago?"
Translation - The evidence is in and we were wrong on almost everything so I'm choosing not to talk about it.
Brown 27%
Lebron 20%
Embid 19%
Maxey 18%
Edgecomb 16%
Man are they ever going to be pissed at Brown for all his isolation dribbling and bogging down that offense!
How can one of the greatest players ever be that ignorant about basketball in different eras? Yes they are more spread out in the half court offense but some of that is just players standing in the corner. Full court play today doesn't come close to fast-break ball in the 80s.
LeBron James says playing all 82 games today is much harder than it was in the ’80s and ‘90s because the NBA is faster and puts more strain on players’ bodies
“I want fans to understand that playing 82 games in the '80s and '90s is not the same as playing 82 games in the 2020s. It’s a totally different game now the pace, the speed, it’s just completely changed.”
“When I first came into the league, the biggest injury concern was a high ankle sprain. You were genuinely afraid to take off into the lane because there were four or five guys sitting in the paint. If you landed on somebody’s foot, you were out four to six weeks.”
“Now, the game is so spread open that you don't see that as much. But because of the pace, the new high ankle sprain is calf and soft tissue injuries. Hopefully, we can get a handle on that medically, but as NBA players, we definitely want to be out there as much as possible.”

So after all the pre-tournament criticism, angst, and fearmongering (much done with anticipatory glee), the 2026 World Cup was a historic success. Incredible games, record crowds/viewers, and a cultural phenomenon. People were safe, entertained, and joyous. Visitors discovered, and Americans were reminded, just how wonderful our country is, all through the lens of soccer. I’m so happy for, and proud of, my country. Best World Cup ever. Thank you, America. 🇺🇸
He certainly is not a better scorer or defender than Jordan was. The only thing he clearly does better is passing. If Lebron is the GOAT it is because of his longevity not because his basketball skills are better than Jordans.
So good!
I want to ask the students screaming “Death to America”, do you have any idea what happens when American values die?
Because I do.
My family fled Iran, a country where freedom died. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.
You think America is oppressive because you have never experienced real oppression.
You think silence is violence because you’ve never been silenced.
You think words are dangerous because you have never watched a government drag someone away for speaking them.
You think capitalism is evil because you have never stood in a bread line.
You think borders are immoral because you have never had to flee across one.
You think revolution is romantic because you have never had a revolution take everything from you.
I have.
And that’s why I refuse to be quiet.
