In addition to teaching students how to write formal and informal letters, schools should also teach them how to design a CV and write essays in the form of scientific proposals. At least expose them early on to critical thinking and to articulate things in less words!

If you’re struggling to do a literature survey, start with a few latest review articles on the topic. They will not only give you an overview but also tell you where to focus more. And write down the critical points! #AcademicChatter

Few things I learnt during my PhD which have proved relevant in my job:
1. Don’t rush to answer a question. Take a few seconds to think first.
2. Always try to save money wherever possible. Just because it’s fancy doesn’t mean it’s the best and must be used. #AcademicChatter
