It really doesn’t matter whether you belong to the Left Tribe or Right Tribe; we are at the point Ricky Gervais called 20 years ago. What we really have to do is ask: What sort of society finds itself having to remind grown men not to rape? He got the judges right as well. Forget the tribal excuses. A society reduced to explaining that rape is wrong and then arguing over whether it was wrong to say so needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror. What have we become, and how much further are we prepared to fall?

I wasn’t there, however this guy was: "I’d like to put the record straight, because I was there. People often forget how the Argentine troops were treated after the Falklands War. We treated their wounded, and many would not have survived without the medical care they received. They were fed, and their officers were even allowed to keep their sidearms for their own safety. After facing each other in battle, that wasn’t easy, but it was the right thing to do. They were fed, cared for, and many were transported home on Canberra. We also cleaned up the mess that had been left behind. There was no complaining—we just got on with the job. Many of the Argentine troops were exhausted and relieved to be going home after experiencing the reality of war. They were defeated and demoralised, and many couldn’t even look you in the eye. Many of those young soldiers were more afraid of their own officers and the military junta than they were of us. They had been sent into an impossible situation by leaders who would never share their hardships. The Falklands’ climate and terrain are brutal, and the weather is unforgiving. I saw young men who were hungry, frightened, dirty, wet and cold, longing to be back with their families in Argentina. Many I spoke to, while sharing hot drinks and sweets, told me they never wanted to be there in the first place. So before anyone starts abusing me, my family or my brothers-in-arms, remember this: we were there. We experienced the full cycle of war, and we also witnessed the immense relief of the Falkland Islanders when the invaders finally left. To those in Argentina who still believe the stories told by defeated generals, I’d simply say this: many of us were there, and we know what happened. Don’t confuse propaganda with the reality witnessed by those who fought and those who surrendered. The war is over. Britain won. History cannot be changed. It’s time to stop reliving old arguments and instead focus on building a better future for the people of Argentina rather than making repeated claims over the Falkland Islands. As my grandmother used to say, “Children should be seen and not heard.” Sometimes it’s wiser to listen to those who were actually there. War tests not only courage in battle, but also humanity in victory. I am proud that we showed both. Feel free to share and comment “war is not a political football “ maybe you should try it sometime it’s not advisable Lives broken families destroyed Respect to those lost to war and those who are still fighting a war long ago." Shared as requested. Falklands #FalklandsWar #veterans

facebook.com/reel/1527779182… When I tell people that the most productive wine producing vineyard in Roman Europe was in York in the north of England where it is now impossible to grow grapes, as it is nowhere near warm enough! And when I inform them that viking farmers and their farm equipment have been discovered under the now permanent frozen permafrost of the plains of Greenland (please do your own fact checking) - people are confused. “How is this possible!?” There are 2,000 scientists who have produced accomplished work in the climate space who have signed the ‘Clintel Agreement’ stating that ‘There is no climate emergency’. These scientist will all point out that it was around 5 degrees centigrade WARMER in Roman and Viking times whilst there was a negligible amount fossil fuel burning and life thrived in these much warmer temperatures!

A heartfelt plea from a young French woman, who is now facing a prison sentence in France for speaking her truth, now classed as hate speech. It’s not just a UK problem, it’s across Europe. We need to stand together we face the same totalitarian systems. youtube.com/shorts/ygujEKhl5…

A farmer dies in April 2026. His son inherits the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1847. The farm consists of: 300 acres of grazing pasture, a farmhouse built in 1892, a barn, a milking parlour, two tractors of varying ages, a Land Rover that runs about 70% of the time, and a herd of 180 Hereford-cross cattle. On paper, the farm is worth approximately £3.2 million. This is because land near him has been bought recently by a London hedge fund looking for carbon credits, which has dragged the comparable value of every field within forty miles upward to a number nobody local can justify. In cash, the farm produces a profit of about £28,000 a year in a good year. In a bad year it loses money. The son also works as a fencing contractor three days a week to keep the operation viable. The inheritance tax bill on a £3.2 million estate, even at the reduced 20% rate, comes to approximately £140,000 after the increased threshold is applied. The son does not have £140,000. The son has never had £140,000. The son has £4,200 in his current account and an overdraft. The son sells 60 acres to a developer to pay the tax. The developer puts solar panels on the 60 acres. The remaining herd cannot be sustained on the reduced land. The herd is sold. The barn becomes a holiday let. A different family eats Brazilian beef this Christmas without knowing why the price went up. The Treasury collects £140,000. The land never produces British food again.

Jimmy White: “Alex Higgins was so out of position. This was my hero. He was steaming because I knew he was drinking large vodka and oranges, but he could play drunk. There were shots in there which under pressure will never be repeated. The drunker he got, the calmer he got.”

I find it very difficult to believe you actually believe this. My feeling is, you & so many like you just can’t accept the fact so many turned out, so many are concerned by what’s happening to this country so you have to do the usual & throw the far right slurs about. I was there, the atmosphere was brilliant, the crowd was mixed, old, young, black, white etc And there was many more that couldn’t attend, country is waking up! The video below is just one of many examples of the kind of people that were there, far right as well? Oh did you see some of the videos/pictures of the other marches?

I was a firearms officer too Andy (for over 20 years), and I'm glad to say I never had to disarm an active terrorist who had just stabbed members of the public. My training was simple (and probably very similar to yours): if a suspect was not complying with commands to disarm and drop a knife, and I had formed an honest held belief that there was an imminent threat to life, the suspect would be shot until the imminent threat to life was no more. Not Tasered. Not kicked in the head. Shot. Aiming at the centre body mass. In all probability, lethal force being used. These officers were exceeding brave. If that suspect could have got back up off the floor, still armed with the knife, he could have killed and / or seriously injured many more people in a frenzied attack - including the officers - in a very short space of time. These unarmed officers could not take that risk. Using the NDM, it is clear to all sensible and knowledgeable people that the use of force utilised in these circumstances - including the kicks to the head - was fully justified. These officers are heroes, and deserve our full admiration and praise.
I have been a police officer for nearly 27 years, was on OFC in ARVs for 10 years and worked on the national taser course in 2022. I don't ever remember being trained to kick someone in the head, although any use of force can be justified in certain circumstances
