We can’t obsess on the past, like so many do. It doesn’t help at all. We have to look to the future, and even more so with our Japanese friends.
Adam Smasher rasps: "I'll use you like a training dummy."
"Oh no! Go Go Gadget Oil Slick!"
Adam Smasher comically slips on the oil slick and in the process accidentally blows his own head schmoove off with his shotgun.

Indians receive extreme hostilities primarily due to their cultural behavior of aggressively lying about everything.
Acknowledging any fault is a massive blow to their izzat, so they lie and feign superiority.
This pathological untruthfulness is simply a part of Indian culture.
Adam Smasher is a paychopathic mass murderer living his best life and has a dedicated purpose in defending Arakawa... Because they let him murder people. He had no humanity to corrupt or to be conflicted over.

People are looking at the old Avatar series and realizing how good they had it.
Also, You always need to have a "Day of Glory" for a hero. Homer is a great example. It doesn't have to amount to anything, but you need to know why the hero is worth reading

When people say they want more "men in publishing" I do not think they are necessarily expressing a type of identity politics per se; they are reacting against certain aesthetic modes they are tired of, similar to the constant anti-autofiction backlash of a few years ago

Covfefe talks about this… there’s a funny disconnect between what things are for, and what the stated reason people do the things for and the disconnect drives these women insane.

A wild west gunslinger was among the crew that fought Dracula and dealt the killing blow with his bowie knife before dying of his wounds like a hero.
Most movie adaptations cut the character, which is a travesty. The Coppola version keeps him. Watch that one.

If you want to understand why all of these game companies are suddenly collapsing, I found this podcast (The New Gods) with a game industry insider very informative.
In short, game companies shifted focus to "getting more investor money" at the cost of making good games. When the investors didn't have any more money, game sales weren't enough to keep them afloat. It's a very interesting deep dive into the topic with numbers, analytics, etc.

Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing.
The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees.
The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion.
Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.

Something to remember: if you become a regular at a place and a familiar face, it's not an all-or-nothing situation.
As a familiar face, you get introduced: "It's nice to meet you!"
Each time you see them, ask how they're doing and what they've been up to.
Strike up a rapport
