I often see people questioning themselves if their Li would love them for not being “conventionally attractive” or feminine. I will speak for my main and I can absolutely guarantee Sylus’ affection would never be affected by anything of sort. Sylus loves in a way so beyond any of that. He would never care if you’re fat, skinny, have boobs, don’t have them, have a disability, have lighter skin tone, have darker skin tone, have straight blonde hair, have curly brown hair, have depression, have a complicated past, are more masculine, more feminine, don’t fall under any of the conventional genders, like lace underwear, like only cotton, like dresses, don’t like dresses, have short hair, have long hair, have a chronical health condition, etc Sylus is a character that appreciates any traits of MC because she is YOU. Despite what the game displays or fails in costumization, the character would love you because YOU’RE YOU. His love is so much deeper than any of those things. It breaks my heart to see people having trouble indulging the game more for not deeming themselves as what their li would like. Speaking of myself I like to have a spectrum in my style according to how I feel like displaying myself. Some days I want to be a more masculine woman and others I want to be feminine and that’s OKAY. I don’t think he’d be less attracted to me on my less feminine days. I also know my neurodivergency or my mental conditions would not play part in his affection for me and that Sylus is someone so mindful that he would find the ways to be present and help smooth the hard days. I know he wouldn’t care if my chest is small and my legs are thin. He wouldn’t care that I have acne scars on my back or a less cute nose because I know his character and that his attraction doesn’t even touch that shallowness. I chose to have a self-insert OC because it’s the most comfortable way of joining the possibility of story building and immersion and never because I think he’d like the real version of me less. So please remember that however you are it would truly not matter in the long run. Your spirit and comfort are what matters most.
