Maybe this is a dumb question, but if Schumer is brilliant at recruiting candidates and helping Democrats win Senate races, doesn't that mean he should be DSCC chair, not Senate majority leader? nytimes.com/2026/11/07/us/po…

Haley Stevens’s betrayal hit Clyburn so hard he went full Malcolm X
Asked why he devoted so much time to Michigan, Jim Clyburn compared the hostility Abdul El-Sayed faced to the struggles of civil rights icon John Lewis, citing Lewis’ beating on the Edmund Pettus Bridge and El-Sayed becoming the first Muslim elected to the Senate. “They’re going after a brown Muslim today,” he recalled telling one group. “They’re gonna be coming after a Black Muslim tomorrow.” Listen to #TheConversation: politi.co/4C1YNyy

interesting how much focus there was on winning young men in 2024, but when abdul el-sayed is the senate candidate who performed best with men aged 18-29 of all races, suddenly crickets

Call me crazy but I don't think the person who cowered in fear behind a folder in Trump's Oval Office, vetoed a bunch of her party's own legislation, and endorsed a literal Republican in the Senate primary is gonna be our party's standard-bearer in 2028
For example nobody is talking about Gretchen Whitmer. A popular and effective centrist governor from a purple state. Imo she would be a good president

Is Chuck Schumer exciting? No. Does he take risks? Of course not. But do his experience and acumen make him EXACTLY the man democrats need to most effectively wield this unprecedented mandate? Jesus christ, no

ro khanna please stop trying to be president and run for majority leader
Politico: Katherine Clark Launches Majority Leader Bid Rep. Katherine Clark of Massachusetts officially announced her bid for majority leader in a letter to colleagues Thursday. Clark, currently the No. 2 to Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, is widely considered a shoo-in among her colleagues. She is currently unopposed, and if she wins, she would be the first woman with the title and most progressive member of the top leadership trio that is also expected to include Jeffries as speaker and Rep. Pete Aguilar as whip. politico.com/live-updates/20…

For the uninitiated: the suggestion is to pass a law allowing people to sue federal officers for violating their rights. Congress should absolutely do this.
One suggestion for legislation in a new Congress: A statutory Bivens remedy.

Jocelyn Benson literally revolutionized the way regular people interface with state bureaucracy. The SOS office was genuine dogshit before her. Now you can get whatever you need ez pz
In my opinion … MOST Michiganders do not like Jocelyn Benson. The only way she and El-Sayed could have possibly won was due to voter fraud. Like New York, Michigan had mysterious power outages in certain election areas.

-Jefferies endorsed 5 candidates in the midterms, 2 won. -Chuck Schumer endorsed 2 (Janet Mills, Haley Stevens) both lost, one nuked her career on camera.
Chuck Schumer will be the Majority Leader. Hakeem Jeffries will be Speaker of the House. Anyone crying about this is not a serious person. Both men did a phenomenal job recruiting candidates, supporting them, and ultimately delivering one of the best midterms wins ever.

One thing about the repeal of Roe is it gives Democrats a rare opportunity to directly impact millions of voters’ lives, basically *immediately* with stuff like this.

If a centrist had flipped the MI-07 seat (even by a slimmer margin), centrists would treat them as a deity with a secret formula for winning elections everywhere. But because it’s an anti-genocide, pro-M4A candidate, the conversation is about “underperforming”.
"Leftists can't flip red seats in swing states!" MYTH BUSTED 😌

He’s gonna lose the primary. He wins. He’s gonna lose the general. He wins. He’s gonna win only narrowly. He wins by 7. All the while, record levels of money spent against him; the president and media target him daily with racist abuse; and his former Dem rival endorses his GOP opponent. But apparently, he is an ‘under performer.’ 🤷🏽‍♂️

My advice to the "let gays marry" side is to surrender. If you can't win in California, you can't win anywhere, and now you need to stop sandbagging the Democrats.
