At 9:15am today, Wales will fall silent to remember those who were taken from us in the Aberfan disaster.

Very sad news that the wonderful Bonnie Greer, playwright and novelist has died aged 77. I interviewed her a couple of times and watched her on BBC QT. She was a smart, sassy, firebrand who will be missed from our public discourse RIP 🙏🏽

Reform seems to have lost the Telegraph.
This weekend's gross greasing of palms may be a step too far for Farage.
Never again can they be portrayed as anti-establishment or a party for working people.

We have been informed of protests taking place in Newcastle city centre today.
Legal orders are in place allowing officers to control the movement of those taking part. Demonstrators will be limited to assembling at the Civic Centre. There are also restrictions on the movements of an organised march.
We also have a separate legal order in place from 7am-7pm in the city centre making it an offence for someone to conceal their identity.
If you're in the city and have concerns, please speak to our officers.

The commemorative installation was created in collaboration with members of the 9/11 community, including family members, survivors and first responders, to mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
