I deeply resent this man for having a fuller and more lustrous beard than mine. Yet, I can’t bring myself to hate him; both because he’s bald as hell & because he’s leading the way to cure cancer at @Precigenetics
didn't realize @Precigenetics was going into aura farming mode this hard...
the moat is parm. please trust me.. just give her the money and let the ai labs partner with her.. shes already got the momentum. Create the cell cinema labs, giant novel bio data generator... enrich into ai... go public with the "nanofoundry" approach to biology... let the big labs own... everyone wins.
If the big labs try to put this in charge of their in house bio nerds... it just creates a delay. Shes already got the momentum and the tech... there is no reason to delay other than ego.
Plus you get in early on nanofoundry approach to biology which is obviously were all of this is heading in the near term.
And just like that, our ability to raise tens of millions of dollars just shot right up. You bet I will do it. And it won’t be for show. It will be for the people.
If anyone wants to help me make this pitch the best pitch ever, I ask for your help.
We need tens of millions of dollars to make this happen.
There’s our market in front of your eyes.

Its great to see efforts such this underway, the golden age of Biotech is upon us!
What GenBio is doing as well as others (e.g. @Precigenetics / @parmita ) will help us better understand what happens within the cell and unlock some incredible possibilities

It worked.
Anthropic, you’re back on the table.
You can have our data. Contact me again.
Various people on my timeline, (especially @parmita, hats off to her) were speaking up about the overzealous bio safeguards, I'm glad they listened!!
Perhaps now we can actually test its medical capabilities???

"the arrow was ours. not the tissue's."
classic hubris of "reality must be what i see", very prevalent in science, very rare in @Precigenetics
hair is not pushed. it is PULLED.
a team from L'Oréal put living human follicles under 3D live imaging. block division → hair keeps growing. block actin, the protein that lets cells contract and crawl → growth drops.
the outer root sheath, the sleeve of cells wrapped around the shaft, moves in a coordinated spiral and drags the hair up.
a motor built out of cells. their simulations only matched real hair speed once they put the traction term in.
why did we hold the wrong model for decades? because we looked at fixed sections. a fixed section shows dividing cells at the bottom and a shaft above them. proliferation at the base + hair going up = pushing, obviously.
the arrow was ours. not the tissue's.
and if you care about hair loss, this quietly relocates part of the target. every follicle drug you have heard of is chemistry aimed at a biochemical environment. force is a completely different lever. reminds me of @drmichaellevin 's work - maybe...we aren't thinking physics enough, and too much chemistry.
