Americans have never been this pessimistic about their finances: A record 41% of US consumers expect their financial situation to be worse over the next 12 months. This figure has more than tripled since Q2 2024. By comparison, during the 2008 Financial Crisis, this metric peaked at 23%. This proportion is also significantly higher than in the 1970s and the 1980s, when CPI inflation was above 10%. Furthermore, 31% of US consumers believe their personal financial situation will be worse in 5 years, double the proportion seen in the 1980s. Americans feel as though we are in a recession.

We are living in a time where we have access to infinite intelligence. People decades ago could only dream of having the tools we have right now to build a business, a career change, or a world-changing discovery.  This is the best time to be alive, and I won't get tired of saying it.

This is unbelievable. Nearly $2,000,000,000,000 has been wiped out from the US stock market today.

I'm buying the dip. AI is not going anywhere. There's no such thing as enough intelligence. AI will become millions of times bigger than it is today, (just in the short - medium term). Some people will ask: "But won't money become irrelevant after the Singularity? What's the point of investing or making money?" Two reasons: 1. Investing is my way of supporting AI companies/contributing to acceleration. They need enormous amounts of capital to build data centers, expand compute infrastructure, accelerate research, and ultimately develop ASI. 2. We're still in the early stages of crossing the bridge. On the other side of that bridge lies the mature Singularity, abundance, and a civilization where many of today's economic limitations will no longer exist. But we're not there yet. We're still living in the old world, with its financial constraints, limited medical capabilities, and countless problems that money can help solve. You could develop a rare disease next month and suddenly need $100 000s for treatments, specialized care, or other medical expenses just to survive long enough to reach 2030 and beyond. Money still matters enormously during this transition. The destination is post scarcity. But we still have to cross the bridge to get there. We're investing in the very technologies that could eventually make investing obsolete. There's nothing contradictory about investing in a future where money loses its importance, that's precisely the future worth investing in.

We are coming around 👏 #fakehacks
So Binance-linked MMs have allegedly been trying to break Bitcoin below 80k for over a week now. And they haven’t managed to push it down significantly. Why? Because massive whales have been accumulating billions worth of $BTC throughout this entire period. Now here’s where things get very interesting. I believe the last straw for Binance was $HYPE suddenly attracting legitimate institutional interest and attention. We’re talking about a roughly $4B increase in market cap within just 16 hours, starting from around $20B. Do the maths. 20B + 20% in a single day. And all of this while Bitcoin refused to break down significantly. So in my view, Binance had two problems on its hands. Bitcoin refusing to break below 80k. And HYPE suddenly attracting dangerous amounts of attention. What followed? A swift market rug under the cover of an alleged hack. To cuck momentum. And this is where things get even stranger. A hack that was very conveniently contained by USDC and Tether. Maybe a tad TOO quickly for my taste. I’ve witnessed countless hacks in this space since 2018, and something about this one feels extremely odd. It’s not how North Korean hackers usually operate either. They typically manage to move a significant chunk of the stolen funds before anyone can intervene. Yet this time, almost the entire $2B was reportedly frozen within a remarkably short period. Interesting, isn’t it? Given the reach of international law enforcement, I struggle to imagine many actors capable of pulling off something of this scale and escaping the consequences, apart from groups operating beyond that reach, such as Lazarus. And if you think the official narrative automatically tells the whole story, that’s on you. In my opinion, Binance is doing more harm to this industry than good. And I believe much of that harm is deliberate. First 10/10. Now this. Market manipulation at its finest, if my suspicions are correct. SHUT YOUR MOTHERF*CKING EXCHANGE DOWN AND REMOVE YOUR CLAWS FROM THIS SPACE. I’m counting the days until the Trump administration is gone, because I believe the scrutiny surrounding these players will intensify significantly. And if wrongdoing is established, those responsible should face the consequences. Stay safe out there. Sincerely yours, Skully

If you are wondering about the somewhat muted price impact to Bitcoin after last night's Binance hack, for reference, the MT Gox hack of 2014 was ~750K Bitcoin, which was about 30 days of trading volume at the time. Yesterday's Binance hack was 18,270 Bitcoin, or roughly 1/5th of a single day of Bitcoin's trading volume today, making Mt Gox ~167X worse for price impact.

The biggest mistake is assuming the next 5 years will resemble the last 5. They won't. The exponential curve doesn't care about our intuition.

Here we go the real story is emerging. U.S. Department of Justice: Binance is required to cooperate with law enforcement agencies - @Bloomberg Michael Selig, Chairman of the CFTC, commenting on the Binance hack: We want to provide cryptocurrency exchanges with the opportunity to register with the CFTC at the federal level – @CNBC

What’s coming was avoidable, but Republicans in Congress let Trump start a war, increase spending, arm a genocide, betray MAHA, and cover up for Epstein’s coconspirators. I was ousted with over $30 million of foreign lobby money for refusing to go along, and here we are.

Trump's decision to cancel his appearance in Kansas as well as all future appearances through the midterms was made for one reason. He could no longer escape Epstein. The crowds that used to cheer for him, support him and stand by him no matter what have turned. He is being openly challenged, questioned and mocked at his own rallies by the same people who once thought he could do no wrong. He's no longer the God he thought he was and his ego JUST CAN'T TAKE IT.

Good evening. To everyone reading about the $5.9 billion Binance hack and declaring cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin dead, two things: 1) Bitcoin itself was not hacked, an exchange managing cryptocurrency wallets and holding the keys was hacked. 2) Former CEO CZ says that he expects Binance to fully cover the losses with their $144B balance sheet. This event in no way shape or form exposed or impaired the Bitcoin network. Have a great night.
