The renaming of the lake will only cost about $500,000 in direct physical changes because most federal maps and records are digital. That means between renaming Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. has spent roughly $1 million on dumb Trump ego-renaming projects. And when the next administration comes along, we’ll probably have to undo all of it at an additional cost. But where the cost really sucks is in the federal workers who have to waste their duty hours changing all of this shit just to satisfy the ego of this pathetic man.
