I get these notices often in the mail and hardly pay attention but this one! The WGA health plan now covers travel expenses for gender-affirming care. ❤️⚕️🏳️‍⚧️

Ok I’ll admit it. 100000 percent in. Worried for everyone’s mental state ALREADY.

Love that future staff writers will be financially compensated for their episodes. Lots of newer, bigger things in the contract…but this is a biggie. #WGA – at Los Angeles, CA

Speaking as feature writers who have been in this for 25 years, who remember what it was like THEN and NOW, this deal is great for feature writers, esp newer ones. Guaranteed second step, accelerated payment, increased residuals... these are huge wins that will sustain careers.

The WGA reached a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. Today, our Negotiating Committee, WGAW Board, and WGAE Council all voted unanimously to recommend the agreement. The strike ends at 12:01 am. Check out our deal at wgacontract2023.org/deal. #WGAStrong

Go big in your writing and your conflicts. Make the conflict and the moment matter, don’t drip it and make it small. Stakes are critical. Make your shark take a bite out of your protagonist.

To our members: The WGA and AMPTP met for bargaining on Friday and will meet again on Saturday. Thank you for the wonderful show of support on the picket lines today! It means so much to us as we continue to work toward a deal that writers deserve. #WGAStrike

We aren’t paying for this nonsense. Where is everyone going? Threads is ok but the no search spirals me. I can’t figure out mastodon. Bueller?

I’d watch it.
I know we're not supposed to do scripts about writers, but I'm seriously thinking about writing a script about a screenwriter who spends his days and nights in blood-curdling suspense waiting for a response from a manager who read his script. It will be called IT NEVER COMES

Audience members wearing WGA support pins have been kicked out of ‘THE DREW BARRYMORE SHOW’. The series has resumed filming today without any writers due the studio’s refusal to agree on a fair deal. (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-…)
