Keir Starmer promised to make it a crime to 'misgender' - and yet very few politicians seem able to talk about what a woman is. I asked the minister to ensure that women's rights would not be sidelined by a focus on gender identity.

#WPUKWithWomen In 80s, women were talking about the process of 'gendering'. We were using sex/gender. 'Gender' as a term has been hijacked. We have to keep pulling our words back into what we want them to be. Patriarchy keeps popping up and we have to keep taking these words back

Good morning. Thank you to everyone who helped make #WPUKWithWomen such a fantastic event: @BristolUni for beautiful venue, security/admin/AV teams, local organisers, our panel, audience and every one of you who stood with - and spoke up for - us. Solidarity. @WeAreWithWoman
Absolutely. Raquel you are amazing.
