Police mistook David Menton for someone else, jumped him, got on top of him and during a struggle, an officer pressed a gun against the back of his head and fired, killing him.
David Donald Ducado Menton II
Age: 42
Gender: Male
Race: Native American
Date: 04/07/2026
Location: 1700 block of Oakes Avenue
City: Superior
County: Douglas
State: Wisconsin
Agency: Superior Police Department
Officer(s): Ibrahim Carson
Cause of Death: Gunshot
Event: Killed by police during attempted detention
On 04/07/2026 at approximately 9:47 p.m., Superior Police Officer Ibrahim Carson encountered David Donald Ducado Menton II, 42, and two other people outside an apartment building in the 1700 block of Oakes Avenue. Carson was investigating an attempted theft at Belknap Electric and was looking for another man, Robert Sloan. Menton was not the person Carson initially went there to locate.
Carson saw Menton get into the driver's seat of a Volkswagen Tiguan similar to a vehicle connected to the earlier incident. When Menton and Autumn Khalar walked toward the apartment building, Carson repeatedly ordered them to stop. Body-camera footage shows Menton continuing toward the building as Carson followed him. Menton entered the building, and Carson caught him at the doorway and pulled him outside.
Carson and Menton struggled on the ground for approximately 30 seconds. Carson repeatedly told Menton to stop resisting, Menton can be heard disputing that and telling Carson to get off him. During the struggle, Carson's body camera became dislodged, leaving the fatal shooting itself largely obscured.
Carson later told investigators that he saw a pistol near Menton's left side and believed Menton had control of it with his left hand. Carson said he pushed the gun into the mud while attempting to maintain control of Menton and believed Menton would shoot him if he lost control of the weapon. Body-camera audio captured Menton saying what investigators interpreted as, "I'm not gonna shoot," approximately six to seven seconds before Carson fired.
Carson fired one contact-range shot into the back of Menton's head, killing him. Investigators recovered a loaded SCCY 9mm semiautomatic handgun partially pushed into the mud beside Menton's left side. The magazine contained eight live rounds. Witnesses said they did not see Menton with a gun during the struggle.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the outside investigation. An autopsy determined Menton died from the gunshot wound to his head.
On 08/14/2026, Douglas County District Attorney Mark Fruehauf declined to charge Carson. Fruehauf concluded prosecutors could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Carson had not acted in lawful self-defense. Menton's family and witnesses continued to dispute that the shooting was justified.

I don't think you can defeat a people who melt down entire Panzer divisions and build a church with them. This is the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces, completed in 2020. It was literally built using metal melted down from captured Nazi tanks, artillery guns, and firearms.
